Dave D and Kerber reporting that Kidd may have "sat out" the Knicks game to protest against the Nets not extending him! Seemed kind of bizarre that he would sit out with migraine; something he has never done. This is going to get ugly soon.

But another source said the Nets were planning on - if not already - talking to Dallas, the Lakers and perhaps Cleveland about a trade. Kidd nearly was traded to the Lakers last February.

I wouldn't mind Devin Harris. Cavs really have nobody for rebuilding. Lakers have blah blah blah Kwame Brown.

Wow, Kidd's attitude blows my mind sometimes. He say's he's all about winning and just wants to win but goes on "strike" so he can get an extention? 1) Why does he want an extention with the Nets if he doesn't like the situation here? 2) Why's he looking for an extention when he still has 2 years left on his contract?

Kidd and Garnett are the EXACT same. They both talk about wanting to win but their actions prove otherwise.

Harris + Terry + Dampier for Kidd + Boki or Wright. Seems like fair value [IMG]

    Harris/Marcus/Armstrong
    Carter/Terry
    Jefferson/Boki or Wright
    Williams/Collins/Malik
    Dampier/Magloire/Boone

    Well balanced roster all around

I could understand being upset at wanting an extension (although I don't understand why it can't wait until the offseason). But I cannot understand bailing on us right now. Why not tell Thorn you want him to work on making our roster better? Why not do that? That would be a lot better than trying to hook up with your lastest fantasy, Lebron, IN CLEVELAND. Ew. Whatever, he can't go there anyway. They have nothing but garbage on the roster to give us in return. And we shouldn't accept a trade just to trade Kidd. We should only accept it if it makes us a lot better.

Just pay him the extension already. It's only a few million more. If that's all he wants, then just do it. I'd much rather keep him and deal with his moodiness (all star athletes have it) than blow up the team. Just pay him the 13 million already.

If we're trading Kidd we're trading Carter. A half-assed rebuilding effort would do a lot more bad to this team than not having a highlight reel to sell tickets in Brooklyn.

knock! knock! anybody home? Obviously it's Kidd's way of getting traded. Kidd would probably play for less to be in a championship team. Read between the lines man.

    Trading Carter for what?

Thorn signed him to a ridiculous contract and now no one will touch him.

I no longer care what the Nets get for this piece of shit as long as he winds up on a team with no hope of winning.

I thought this was an interesting quote.

Kidd, 34, was upset with the mounting losses and that he was playing with two bruised thighs while Vince Carter missed five games with a sprained right ankle, sources said. Kidd also was unhappy that the Nets wouldn’t meet his price.

    http://www.northjersey.com/page.php?qstr=e...2Y3dnFlZUVFeXk2

Could this be something personal between the 2 superstars.

Maybe that is what brought on the request for the extension. Maybe he is also jealuous that management haven't shown him the same love they show Vince.

I don't give a shit what he wants, If the Nets don't get back some decent players he could rot here with the rest of us.

I love Kidd but this is really shitty what hes doing.

what he said. There is no doubt that he turned this franchise around, but if what the reports are saying is true...thats a totally shitty move.
