Both are unlikely destinations because of what Thorn would get back, but Kidd in Denver or Portland would be fun to watch. Imagine Oden (next season) and LMA getting passes from Kidd.

In about a day, I expect Kidd and/or the team brass to come out and say how unbelievably ridiculous these comments were, how none were true, and how Kidd loves it here in New Jersey.

would much rather devin harris than anythign thte lakers or cavs have to offer

no u don't. Id love a Bynum, Walton or Bynum Farmar package from the lakers plus there pick. or a Turiaf, bynum package

Yes I would. Maybe you wouldn't, but I would.

If the Nets ever traded for Bynum, I'd no longer root for them.

Thanks for the heads up. Can someone give a recap? Not that I'm expecting it to be anything groundbreaking or whatever, but still.

I guess some people owe me an apology for giving me shit for spending the offseason calling Kidd a selfish asshole.

    haha, hi ghoti :-)

But c'mon now, risking injury to play for team USA is a completely different context than sitting out because you want to play for a contender. I agree that the later is inexcusable.

Here's my biggest beef: how come some of us are able to justify keeping the team together through the injuries, but not Kidd? I mean, does he not get that Krstic, Marcus, DA, et al are coming back? Does it mean that he wants a new coach? Is it really just all about the all-mighty dollar? Hm...

Since some of the reports are painting it as:
    Kidd: I want an extension

    Nets: No

    Kidd: Then trade me!

It comes off as"I'm not happy here, but if you give me more money, I'll deal with it"

The only team I could see Kidd getting delt to without myself becoming depressed would be the Hawks. Sending him to the Cavs would doom our franchise no matter how hard we tried to rebuild.

If the Nets trade Kidd, Thorn needs to use it to rectify his past mistakes. If a team wants Kidd, they better take Collins and Magloire as well.

Not sure if this was posted.

QUOTE

Jason Kidd talked to the media this afternoon and said that he was indeed sick Wednesday and would have played against the Knicks if he could. He denied being “on strike”, saying: “I would never disrespect the game” or his teammates. He confirmed his agent is talking to Rod Thorn, but there was no outright rejection of a extension request. Rod Thorn corroborated Kidd’s story.

What would you guys think about trading him to the Warriors for Monta Ellis and the W's trade exception/filler. As a Warrior fan I think it is a win/win and I'd love to see Kidd come home to Oakland.

lol thanks but get out of here. It'd take a lot of 'filler' or a 10 million trade exception to match salaries (I'm ballparking that number)

Kidd for Baron Davis and Bellineli

Can't combine players and a trade exception to get a more expensive player

Impossible for GSW to use TE to get Kidd, can't combine with players. Need to package Davis.
