The trio of Kidd-TMac-Yao could launch the Rockets into the top teams out West. The Rockets would likely need a 3rd Team to get involved, but they do have some tradeable pieces.
There's also a rumor Kidd might be traded to Dallas.
With Houston struggling at the point guard position Jason Kidd would be the solution. He's still a very productive PG and gives the Rockets someone who can matchup with the elite guards in the West. The West is stacked with All-Star caliber point guards including, Nash, Paul, DWill, Baron and Parker.

What players would the Nets want from the Rockets though? They're already set at the shooting guard and small forward positions, and the Rockets don't have the talent at center and power forward to work a trade.
Would a packagae of Alston, James, Head, or any other young players be enough to land a player of Kidd's calibre?

It's the perfect destination for Kidd, but you need a Danny Ainge-esque show of charity from a third GM.
Who hates the Spurs and is in a position to help you?

^^ I think so too. That was a rhetorical question.
I have now seen the power of the Nets fans though. That's quick.

QUOTE (Downunderwonder)

Two draft pick from Houston? If they are serious about wanting him.... worth a shot...

Those picks are so low they are almost second round picks - except they get guaranteed money.

As stated, the Rockets would likely need a 3rd team to get a deal done. Obviously adding Kidd makes any and all the current PGs fair game. The Rockets have a lot of solid role players at bargain prices and a couple of expiring contracts. They'd need to find a lower-tier playoff team in the East who could take it to the next level by adding a Shane Battier, Luis Scola, or Chuck Hayes and have something the Nets would want.

In order to get Kidd they'd have to give someone up and I'm not sure who they'd do that with considering it might mess up their chemistry.

^ +1 on that lol.
Not sure if that's a joke or what but the salaries won't match lol. Take out Head and throw in Alston and James?

both of them could go for all I care...I would love to have a leader like Kidd in a rockets uni....

Ski just went there from the Nets and I herd they are trying to move Miller.
