we need soomeone to energize this team and get others involved emotionally. damn, why did Mikki have to leave?

I think he left because Sacramento offered 5 mill per year for 2 years, while Nets offered 3 mill per year. I thought Sean Williams basically replaced what Miki brought last year? It's pretty surprizing what Miki was capable of at his age.

Mikki had an awesome jumpshot and was an great finisher and utlra athletic. our frontline now consists of 7 ft tree stumps.

QUOTE (CelticKing)

He's averaging 7ppg and 5rpg.

not bad, with Kidd and Vince he was better

While looking at his stats I found this on the page.
SACRAMENTO, CALIF. - Friday, December 7, 2007 -- Sacramento Kings' forward Shareef Abdur-Rahim underwent arthroscopic surgery today at the UC Davis Medical Center to remove bone spurs and joint lining from his right knee. The procedure was performed by Dr. Richard Marder.
Abdur-Rahim, who is currently in his 11th NBA season, and third with the Kings, is not expected to return to action this season. He is averaging 1.7 points (.214 FGs, .4-4 FTs), 1.7 assists and 8.5 minutes per game in six games off the bench this year.

I was just thinking about how much I miss watching Mikki play after tonights game. Early last season, my daughter and I were at a game anda drunk sitting next to us started cheering for Mikki every time hetouched the ball, "Mikki Moore, best player in the NBA". We laughed since we knew he was just a scrub. Then, we started watching him and he was a lot of fun. Everytime he dunked or blocked a shot we would yell out "Mikki". He had a lot of energy and passion. Tonight, I was treated to watching Magloire try to get the ball over the rim again and fail instead of watching Mikki throw down an emphatic dunk. I got to see Magloire step out of bounds after rebounding instead of watching Mikki swing his elbows and glare after rebounding. Originally, I thought Thorn did the right thing signing Magloire for a lesser contract but now as a paying customer, I wish we could have Mikki back. He would have been worth it.

Trade Collins (6 Mill) + 2nd rounder for Mikki (5 mill)?
or Magloire (4 Mill)for Mikki(5 mill)? I'm not sure if I'd do this if I was Thorn, just because Mikki is older, and Magloire is in his prime, and Magloire plays as he did in New Orleans with Baron Davis, his contract would be quite good at 4 mill.

herman monster....I mean bill walton last night, said while reviewing the game: "the nets miss mikki moore"
@universe, thanks for the update on S A-R, looks like the Nets doctors made a good call and the Kings wasted their money.....they also way overpaid Mikki....do they feel they can getbetter by stealing from Thorn? .but I still feel likeMikki would be worth the price on the Nets the way he can play off of Carter and Kidd @ Black Republican, who exactly do you mean by "we", do you speak of yourself in the plural? I can't believe his former teammates wouldn't love to see him walk in the door (except for the bigs whowouldsit more) and anyone who has played for years getting the minimum is not greedy by accepting a good contract offer

Mikki had the best jumpshot in the NBA, everytime he shot it, you knew it was going to go in. it made our offensive seem much smoother. right now, i'd have signed Mikki to his contrct over Mags, Malik and DA.

I miss the passion he brought to every game. He played with so much passion, you could feel it with every shot, dunk, block, or simply any play he made period. We're missing that ALOT this year. We have 1, maybe 2 players playing with a real passion. The other guys look bored, nervous, disinterested...it's pretty pathetic.
