I thought of quitting, admits Fiorentina coach Prandelli</p> <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'></p> ROME (AFP) - Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli admitted Monday that he had considered taking a break from the game when his wife died two weeks ago following a long illness. Prandelli had left his job as Roma coach in 2004 when his wife Manuela first fell seriously ill. And again he felt like throwing it all in but he said the messages of support he received had convinced him to soldier on. "I don't hide from the fact that for a moment I thought about taking a pause to reflect but I soon abandoned that idea thanks to the massive outpouring of affection that I received," he said in his first interview since his wife's death. "I am fine despite what has happened these last weeks. I've received a lot of affection, I've had the support of some extraordinary people throughout this dramatic situation. "From my heart I have to say that I have developed an unbreakable bond with Florence and the Fiorentina fans."</div></p>
