QUOTE

Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated says if the Nets are going to blow it up, they’d better do it now. Jason Kidd’s value is at its peak, migraine and all. The team’s production doesn’t match its payroll, he notes, adding up the Big Three’s $45 million salaries. Moreover, says Mannix, he reports: “Rumors are filtering through the league, relayed to me by league sources, that the Nets’ locker room isn’t as united as it once was.”

-netsdaily.com

Changes in store for Nets?
The Day After

Definitely agree. Must decide once and for all. Kidd in or out, is Kidd the distraction in the clubhouse? If so , he must be moved. Thorn should target a big and try to work something out. There's still some pieces you can work with. VC and RJ, moving Kidd does not necessarily have to be a rebuilding, just a restructuring to a half court offense, with that in mind, need some type of post presence that can get you 15-20 in the paint. You can wait all you want on Krstic, but if that doesn't pan out, when are you willing to write it off, Kidd's value may drop by then.

He's right, but he also picked the Knicks to finish sixth in the conference. Maybe he's just paraphrasing smarter people.
wouldnt it be great if kidd left, and vince and rj suddenly clicked and became an unstoppable duo? don't say "it will never happen" because you never know... when vince was faced with a garbage team (04-05), he was on fire all year average 27ppg and a MVP canidate. so maybe with the weight of the team on vc and rj, they will play good.

VC, RJ can just be as good as the Celtics Big Three given the Big man. Everyone's saying all this fire an brimstone stuff with trading Kidd, it's just a restructuring, your less dependent on the point guard and more dependent on a post up threat.

we don't need JON. we'd need a really good PG to take Kidd's spot (which is ireplacable, but if it must be done, so be it) .
thank you. teams might not wnat kdid at the deadline if they get there acts together or figure they dont need him. god fukcing dammit Thorn, trade him and VC.
