Well the rumor was that Kidd's agent went to Mark Cuban to do him a favor by trading for Kidd. That's as far as the rumor went. The media of course started to drop names, Josh Howard, Jason Terry, Devin Harris. Mavs have enough talent to trade for Kidd while maintaining some semblance of a unit that can challenge in the west......blahblahblah, that's was the hot topic all over this board.
Who knows what the truth is. Kidd has admitted that there was talk of an extension....the numbers, who knows. Fact is if he want an extension he can get 2 years if he signs it this summer, just 1 year if he signs it now.

Harris is BYC which makes him near impossible for Dallas to trade. Josh Howard isn't going anywhere and that doesn't leave much for Dallas to offer back to New Jersey.
