It didn't take former Piston Smush Parker long to wear out his welcome in Miami. Team insiders believe he has played his last game for the Heat.</p>

Parker wasn't allowed to travel with the team on this current six-game West Coast trip, which ends Tuesday, after he got into an altercation with a parking attendant on Nov. 27. No charges were filed but coach Pat Riley has apparently washed his hands of Parker.</p>

"It'll all sort of come to a head when we get back, and then we'll decide whether we'll bring him back," Riley said. "It was conduct detrimental to the team. It has nothing to do with a legal matter. We knew there was an altercation. That's not cool. That's not right."</p>

Parker, because he was signed over the summer, cannot be traded until Dec. 15. There are several teams in dire need of a point guard (as mentioned above), so it is a strong possibility that Smush will be in another uniform before the end of the season.</div></p>

I don't think anyone is going to give the Heat anything for them. They might be able to swap him for an expiring contract and send out cash to pay for the rest of Smush's salary. Or maybe the Heat include him for a team seeking JWill's or Ricky Davis expiring contract.</p>

I have no idea why the Heat signed him in the first place. It was a dumb move at first, and they can only blame themselves for it. I honestly felt Pat Riley would do a better job at evalutating talent, but I guess he didn't even bother to look at any game film. Sucks for Smush. The guy has all the talent to become a solid player in the league, too bad he is too retarded and never works on his game. Can't say I feel sorry for him. I guess Riley thought he was some big shot and would be able to fix Smush's attitude. It all blew up right in his face. After all this, I fully expect the Heat to release Smush if a trade can't be worked out. It's kind of weird if you ask me. All of this "supposedly" brew from him grabbing onto some lady's arm. Sure, it wasn't a smart thing to do, but it certainly doesn't warrant such a huge penalty. Something must have been going on behind the scenes, and honestly, I'm not surprised</p>

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Smush Parker apparently has played his last game for the Heat.

Two sources familiar with the situation said Thursday the Heat is searching for trade options for the troubled point guard, who is eligible to be dealt starting Saturday. Parker has been isolated from the team since a run-in with a valet-parking attendant last month.

For now, the Heat is listing Parker as inactive due to conditioning concerns.

However, word is there is an agreement with agent Billy Ceisler to deal Parker as soon as possible.

Ceisler would not confirm such talks.

"Obviously I work on Smush's behalf, and I want the best thing for my client," he said. "If it's finding a new home, then that's what I want.

"We've spoken about trying to get back to some sense of a good conclusion." Ceisler said a buyout has not been discussed.

Players signed in the offseason can be dealt no earlier than Dec. 15.

When Parker was signed in July to a two-year deal that included a player option for the second season, the former Lakers starter was hyped by the team as a challenger for Jason Williams' starting position.

Instead, second-year guard Chris Quinn has emerged as a quality backup to Williams, with shooting guard Dwyane Wade also spending considerable time with ball-handling responsibilities.

Even before the valet-parking incident, Parker had grown into an ill fit, both in adjusting to the team's on-court approach and the rigid off-court policies established by coach Pat Riley.</div></p>

The Smush Parker Era has apparently ended in Miami. Shocker.</p>
