Sitting out as a protest, sitting out because he was sick....teams believes him, team doesn't believe him....wants a trade, wants to end his career with the Nets....extension was rejected, extension talks are still going on.

Who knows anymore. I don't know what to think until the trade deadline passes or he gets moved, whichever comes first.

Maybe trade him to Sacramento for Mike Bibby, John Salmons and Spencer Hawes... I dunno.

Now is the time to trade him, I reckon. His value is peaked, he's looking for another max deal, and it seems like teams will give you $0.75 on the dollar, which is about par with what big money deals are doing these days.

This doesn't appear to be any new rumour. The yahoo article is dated Friday, Dec 7, 2007 and it is referring to a Thursday, December 06, 2007 D'Al lessandro article.

I think Kidd's suitors are rather limited at this point. Kings are not competing, so I doubt they will enter the fray for Kidd. You're only looking at a handful of teams out there....at least the championshp contenders...eliminate the east. Spurs, Mavs, Suns, Jazz. Eliminate the Jazz, Suns and Spurs they all have solid points...that leaves the Mavs. A couple of wannabes are the Lakers, and Rockets. So there's really only 3 teams that would want Kidd and can afford him.

if you eliminate the east. trade him to Washington! Kidd for Blatche, Nick Young, a pick, and Jamieson's expiring contract or something like that.

Yup. This was taken directly from Dave's article:

QUOTE

Jeff Schwartz, as is his custom, did not return phone calls last night, and it is unknown whether Kidd's agent has had contact with team president Rod Thorn since being denied the extension three weeks ago.

A league official, who declined to be identified because he doesn't want to meddle in the Nets' business, said last night that there is rampant speculation around the league the Schwartz has requested that his client be moved to a Western Conference team.

Oh yeah, and it says there is "rampant speculation". Which, in my mind, means nothing. I doubt this rumor has any truth behind it at all.

Haha, yeah. Why not do a Collins for Thomas swap while we're at it? =D

Maybe he's trying to lower Kidd's trade value so the team he goes to won't be significantly weakened.
