Not in my opinion.

    Why are you trading RJ?

The best trade in my opinon is KIDD for SHAQ. It works out! If Thorn is not giving up this season and does not want to blow up the NETS, and Pat Riley wants KIDD, this trade should happen.

SHAQ isn't washed up. Imagine our startingNETSlineup.

PG: Armstrong or Willaims or Gill

    SG: Vince Carter

    SF: RJ

    PF: SWAT WILLIAMS

    C: SHAQ

FIRE FRANK, and Put Carlise! Then we have a good chance to compete with the Celtics, and reach the FINALS.

Shaq's done and Carlisle isn't an upgrade.

I'm sure Ratner would love to take on Shaq's horrendous contract.

LA would also throw in a 2008 first rounder...

I actually think this deal would work for both teams...we get Turiaf, Farmar, Crittenton, and Ariza plus the 1st which gives us young talent to build on...Mihm and Kwame are filler and Odom allows us to either trade RJ or use as an asset in the offseason in another trade.

LA gets an all pro PG, a solid backup PG, Boki and Wright who would provide go depth on there bench, Magliore who gives them a solid big behind bynum and Allen.

Harris, Terry, Dampier, Fazekas for Kidd, M. Williams, Antoine Wright, Boone. It works. Nets get quicker, better shooters at the guard, a marked improvement over Collins at center, and the Mavs can put out a starting five of Kidd, Howard, Stack, Nowitzki & Diop with a pretty strong bench still.

To the guy, trying to get Ariza, he is trade restricted, since he was traded. He would be a great addition, too bad. Here's my laker trade:
Radman, Odom and Farmar for Kidd, Kristic, and Wright. Nets could throw in Boone if they need to sweeten the deal. Kristic would need to come back and show he's healthy, so this would be a February trade. He and Radman basically replace each other as bigs that can shoot, with Kristic having more upside at this point in his career. Kidd is still clearly better than Farmar at this point, but Farmar has upside. Odom is clearly better than a Wright, Boone combo. Lakers could always use another defensive guy like Wright.

The trade would have to wait until January 20th, but seeing as Thorn doesnt want to do anyting until Kristic is back then It would probably be right around this time...Also I think Kristic would also have to be sent to the Lakers additionally.

We could add in a Magloire for Newble and Shannon Brown swap if Cleveland wanted another stopgap big man. All of those are expiring contracts.

Cavs get Kidd, a young big man who's a bit of a risk, and a little bit of financial leeway, and lose their current awesome rebounding frontcourt.

Wiz finally get an actual NBA frontcourt to play with Arenas and Butler, lose Jaimison, some prospects, and financial solvency.

Nets get a boat of nice young players, a big expiring contract with Jaimison and lose the franchise player, as well as our "center of the future".

This trade might make a lot more sense at the deadline, although the longer it takes, the further all of these teams will fall in the standings.
