^Now that would be a good trade, although not very likely.

The Nets get $4M in expiring contracts and rid themselves of Collins' deal.

They also get two PF this season that fit their system like a glove - along with Collison going forward.

They get instantly much, much better. If they are trading to improve right away, they have to give up something

The Nets would do this deal. It would probably cost the Sonics too much, but maybe they like the idea of Marcus to go along with Durant, Green and all their young bigs. He seems to fit their style of play.

If the Sonics make that trade, they are trying harder to tank than the 2006-2007 Celtics

The Sonics can get a PG much better than Marcus in the 2008 draft.

You need to pay more attention to this board.

Perhaps then you would be more educated as to his trade value, which is off the charts!

then say goodbye to Sean Williams

Yes. The question, of course, is whether Rod wants to try to win a championship within the next two years. Sean won't help them do that.

I disagree. I think Sean could absolutely be a contributor on a championship contender this year, though not a starter.

The Hawks are stupid, so who knows what they'd do?

How much value does Marcus Williams have? Enough to give up Collison and about $4M in expiring money?

They obviously hate Ridnour and have no PG for the future.

You've got to start with guys that could be available. Why on earth would the cheap Hawks give up their only realy center when he is only making 4 million a season? Seattle could move Nick, but he is BYC this season so unless Wally is coming back to the Nets, that makes it a nearly impossible trade to configure.

Look at the Hornets roster. See any scoring bigs there? Hilton Armstrong? Rasual Butler? Ryan Bowen? None seem to qualify, although the Nets have liked both Armstrong and Butler in the past. Byron Scott said with Melvin Ely suffering a fracture in his eye socket the other night (courtesy of a KMart elbow), the Hornets may need a replacement. Hornets looking for a big man...Magloire was an all-star in New Orleans. Hmmm.

So you are saying Kenyon could have helped the Nets this season by creating a market for Magloire?

KVH never would have done that

His loyalty knows no bounds...and Marc Stein suggested that KVH come out of retirement, sign a deal with the Mavs to help the Nets rid themselves of that troublesome priest, Kidd.
