    CHICAGO (Ticker) - The only thing that has been tougher for theNew York Knicks to do than winning on the road is escaping thewrath of their home fans.


    The Knicks take a short reprieve from their recent struggles atMadison Square Garden to face the Chicago Bulls on Friday.

    The Knicks are just 1-8 on the road this season, however,winning at home has proved elusive as well lately as New Yorkfinished winless on its three-game homestand after losing to theSeattle SuperSonics, 117-110, on Wednesday.


    Due in large part to losing by an average of 14 points over thelast week, Knicks fans have become more and more vocal aboutvoicing their displeasure about the direction of the team.

    Things may get worse before they get better though. Startingguard Stephon Marbury has missed the Knicks' last two gamesfollowing the death of his father and is expected to also sitout the next two as well.


    The Bulls - a team that has defeated the Knicks at home sixstraight times - have warmed up after a slow start to theseason, winning five of its last eight contests.


    One of those setbacks was Wednesday's 117-102 setback againstthe Indiana Pacers - a loss that kept the Bulls in the CentralDivision basement.

    LOL. Bulls get a mismatch, Wallace guarded by Crawford, he goes 1-on-1 and can't deliver.</p>

    Bulls not putting the knicks away (yet). There's some tall skinny guy shaking Hinrich the past few plays and nailing open jumpers.</p>

    Skinny guy draws a foul on Hinrich just now. Bulls up 5, 36-31. The Knicks are just horrible on the road. This game shouldn't be close.</p>

    Eddy Curry is quickly becoming one of the worst contracts in the NBA. The guy is just plain out fat now. He hardly gets any lift jumping off the ground (less than PJ Brown). He is on the fast train to Sweetney ville. Once he balloons close to 400 pounds, he's completely toast.</p>

    Jeffries hits a 3 with 1.9 left to bring the Knicks to a 3 point deficit at half.</p>

    Wake up bulls! You are at home. They are like 1-8 on the road and just lost a 3-game home stand as well.</p>
