the worst part? I was at this game. the best part? there were a bunch of annoying dudes there together, dressed as santas. they were all drunk and walked around the whole arena and were more entertaining than the game. security eventually kicked them out, and with that, things went downhill.

Problem is that you young cats are spoiled because you are used to the Nets fielding good teams, and have high expectations.

These are the same core players from those teams.

I don't think people would be as frustrated if this were a new group.

This team doesn't have the same core as the finals team. (Kidd in his absolute prime, Kenyon, Kittles)

VC is obviously the bane of many a Net fan, Kidd has lost a bit with age, and they are surrounded by crap. A-Train was 10x the player that Malik Allen is. Lucious Harris > Antoine.

If you think that this team is a championship caliber team, you are senile, people need to realize.

Zbo will have another big game against us, he destroyed us last time and he's on a hot streak. there guards will be quicker then our guards. the nets willbe down early, with no energy and might make it a game late but unlikely.

    Right on the money.

I'm not freaking out because I knew the opportunity to win went by the boards years ago when Thorn failed to turn a white hot Vince Carter into the pieces the Nets needed to build a champion around Kidd.

Any hope I had after that was purely optimism.

In fact, I still have that. After all, they were two games from getting hammered by the Pistons in last year's ECF.

Keep in mind Kidd is playing tonight. He did not play against New York last time. I know it's only one player, but it's a big one player, especially conisdering this player destroys New York. Even more so when he plays in the Garden. I expect a win.

Collins didn't play Curry well, but Nets didn't lose because of him. RJ was atrocious, VC was average, defence didn't work and Frank was Frank when he pulled Williams with like 6 minutes left and let Wright to have his show. The show of impotent.

I agree with Gotti. I'll be honest I never thought this team was any where near to winning a championship. I always felt the Nets needed a real pressence in the middle. It shows now.

I'm not even angry. I would love for this team just to dedicate it self to rebuilding. The whole VC and Brooklyn needs a superstar player makes no sense. The team will not be in Brooklyn till 2010. VC will be 33 or 32. Jason Kidd will be gone or retired.

As I said on the site as Cormegadadon

The Nets front office seem not too worry too much. Since they refuse to make a change to a team in three years that has only won a total of 3 games in the second round.

So if people getting paid millions are not too concern about the Net competing for a ring. Why should I be? I'm going to be a fan watch games and cheer. but I'm not going to kill myself over what the Nets are and are not doing

This is what I mean about Carter. One game he decides to show up and play; the next he disappears.

And what is RJ's deal? Has he forgotten how to drive? Is he taking lessons from VC?

How do u want him 2 play, when they continued 2 run plays for RJ?

Carter wasn't demanding for the ball till around the 4 quarter. He wasn't putting forth the effort to get involved in the offense when the main option in that game clearly could of been him or RJ.

Say what you want about Zach Randolph but he burns the Nets every single time. Trivia, Since 2003 when Randolph had his breakout year the Nets are 2 - 8 against him.

I don't why I said 4th...meant 3rd. Anyway, the point is he wasn't demanding the ball either way. Against the Cavs he was looking to get really involved in the offense by asking for the ball each time and driving in. He was a different player against NY and it's not because the Nets chose RJ to be the main man on offense. VC was just too passive.

I'd feel much more comfortable if this was a situation, such as maybe the Hawks this season: A young team that plays exciting, and that can surprise you with some wins.

This team, on the other hand, is built to at least win the Eastern Conference Championship. And we can't even beat the Knicks.
