Thomas should trade Curry for Collins and Krstic. I checked it out in realgm.com, and it is possible. Thomas should do this to reduce payroll. How how I wish we can get Curry.

http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives...ks_eyeing_deal/
New York Post - Isiah Thomas sounds like a man desperate to make changes to his roster - and you can take Eddy Curry off the untouchable list. Thomas insinuated some guys on the club can't play in the manner he wants, and made his most damning remarks yet about Curry, pointing out his flaws and admitting Curry may not develop into a franchise center to build around. It seems the time for the Knicks to reignite trade talks for Ron Artest, who can opt out after next season. With team morale at its lowest and one of the supposed team leaders, on-the-block Malik Rose, recently asking to be placed on the inactive list, Artest can't make the climate any worse. Rose dressed last night only because of Quentin Richardson's knee injury, but did not play. Thomas said in the summer he wouldn't deal David Lee or Renaldo Balkman for Artest, but that may have changed. Thomas' recent rips on Curry could be perceived as bracing fans for Curry's departure. "I can say that, as always, if we can improve our team, we will," Thomas said yesterday, which usually is code phrase for saying the club is active in trade talks. And there's a growing sense more than just Rose wants out too.

QUOTE (GMJigga)

Who can we offer for Curry? We've got a better chance of trading for KG now

Collins can play center for them and they could give Zbo the PF spot. Throw in Boki as well.

QUOTE (ghoti)

They should trade him for two unprotected lottery picks.

Uh, for or with?

So Collins and Boki for Curry? Just because both players are currently overpaid doesn't mean Isiah is gonna go for that. Curry's not all star but he's no scrub either.

At a current salary of $8.9M and highest salary during his contract of $11.3M, Curry is not particularly overpaid.
He can lead a team in scoring, he's done it before.
He's a clear liability on defense, as he doesn't do much more than stand aside another C. Ask him to step out on a pick or something and he's totally lost.
He is a weak rebounder for a guy his size and for his position, as well.
It's really a shame he wasn't coached by a good big man coach somewhere along the way. He's been told in Chicago to focus on his offense and that's all he's really developed. Isaiah didn't get him young enough to get the Chicago out of him

No, I don't want Eddy "Fat" Curry.
If the Nets get Curry, I swear I'll pretend Wilcox is Kemp and Ridnour is Payton, and I'll be a full-time Seattle fan
