Is there any chance that Takenori Gomi (sp?) comes to UFC ever?

Hard to say. The UFC has a very deep lightweight talent pool that includes a couple of guys that beat Gomi. For what he would demand in a contract and what the UFC would get out of him, I don't see them coming together. Never say never, though.

A guy like Mach Sakurai, however, has a decent chance of coming over in 2008.

The UFC and Fedor's camp attempted to come to terms this year but neither side could be satisfied. Fedor has signed with Mix Fight M-1 in Russia and the UFC brass, at least for now, have given up on him.

I think Hughes would've fought Serra like he fought Lytle, keeping him on his back and grinding out the victory. The GSP fight is much harder to predict so I'm happy that's what we are getting, even if we were going to anyways. We'll still see Hughes/Serra and Serra/GSP II eventually, its just the order that's been mixed up.

Matt Hughes vs Georges St. Pierre (rooting for hughes, who has become my favorite after watching ultimate figher)
Chuck Liddell vs Wanderlei Silva (more experience I guess and he's the axe murderer) lol
Lyoto Machida vs Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou
    Rich Clementi vs Melvin Guillard
    Eddie Sanchez vs Soa Palalei
    James Irvin vs Luis Cane
    Tony DeSouza vs Roan Carnerio
    Nate Mohr vs Manvel Gamburyan
    Dean Lister vs Jordan Radev
    Doug Evans vs Mark Bocek

Axe Murderer by MURDER!!!! Chuck is overrated. All he does is swing that right arm and pray. People know how to stop that already. 2 loses in a row. This will be his third. Chucks just lucky they dont allow stomps to the head like they do in pride. Otherwise, its OVER even faster!!!! I see the Murderer taking this fight seriously and viciously with Knees and pure punishment.

I like GSP over Hughes too.

Fedor should've been fighting Randy by now. Its too bad we wont know who the TRUE heavyweight champ of the world is.

We know Randy wants it, I guess we'll find out next year if Fedor wants it, too.

Starting with Choi (1-0 in MMA) is not a good way of demonstrating your desire to be the best, though.

Fedor doesn't want any of it. He would have set it up by now. I mean come on, randy aint getting any younger. I love watching FEDOR fight. I think he's just a pure beast, but if he's too worried about getting paid properly to fight randy or worried about his rep if he loses, he's just a chump.

Fedor's legendary. So is randy. Win or Lose I wish this fight would take place now. Randy has such a small time frame left.

QUOTE

“I’m a big believer in you’ve got to be able to win everywhere and so you’re never going to be able to put your opponent in the most dominant position all the time,” said Hughes. “You’ve got to be able to win everywhere. That’s my mark for a true champion.”

I'm not sure what to make of this remark. Hughes has never knocked somebody out. Hughes has dismissed GSP's win over Koscheck claiming that Kos wasn't a well-rounded fighter.

So the weigh-ins have occurred and everybody is ready to go. This could be one of the best cards of the year if not in recent memory. The Guillard/Clementi fight has some real heat involved and Wandy vs. Chuck should be a classic.

Supposedly Soa Palelei had to cut to make heavyweight. Dude is a monster.

Silva/Liddell is so close! Judging from this pic we are in for a war:
