I am listening to this thing on the NBA radio...The Bulls killed it. Why in the hell does it seem like the Bulls got laxed every time they got within 2 or tied the game.</p>

At this rate, the Bulls will remain last in the central divison, this always seems to happen.</p>

Re: NBA: LA LAKERS (14-9) at CHICAGO (8-13)

My sense of this game was PJax knows his team is starting a 6 game road trip. So he played his 2nd string for most of Q3 and most of Q4. Bulls played Hinrich, Nocioni, and Deng against that 2nd string team and fell behind.</p>

It's a sad fact that we're simply not very good compared to the Lakers, and the Lakers are going to have a tough time in their own right come playoffs time.</p>

CHICAGO (Ticker) -- Kobe Bryant finally made his long-awaitedarrival in Chicago.

Unfortunately for the Bulls, Bryant - the subject of major tradetalks between Chicago and Los Angeles - was still in a Lakersjersey and had plenty of help with him.

Sasha Vujacic scored 19 points off the bench and Bryant added 18to help lead the Lakers to a 103-91 victory over the Bulls onTuesday.

Lamar Odom had 17 points and 16 rebounds and Andrew Bynumcontributed 12 and 10 for the Lakers, who had six players indouble figures in their first of a four-game Eastern Conferenceroad trip.

Chicago had seemed to be the likely destination for Bryant, whohad demanded a trade during the offseason. But the Los Angelesbench, which scored 60 points in the Lakers' 28-point win overthe Bulls on November 18, has stepped up in recent weeks andagain played a pivotal role down the stretch.

Los Angeles never trailed since the midway point of the firstquarter but Chicago hung around and tied the game at 77-77 onLuol Deng's 3-pointer with 9:34 to play in the contest.

The Lakers then turned it up on both ends of the court, puttingtogether an 11-0 run keyed by Jordan Farmar's five points.Odom's breakaway layup finished off the spurt, giving the Lakersa 97-83 lead with 3:23 left.

Vujacic scored nine points in the final quarter as the Lakerscoasted over the final few minutes to their sixth win in theirlast seven games.

Odom's slam dunk helped the Lakers build an early 19-11 lead -their largest of the first half - with 3:02 left in the firstquarter.

Ben Wallace's layup in the second quarter got Chicago within39-38 with 2:52 left but Luke Walton's layup put the Lakers backup, 49-45, at the half.

Deng scored 18 of his 24 points in the second half for Chicago, which was outrebounded, 52-41, and committed 18 turnovers.

"We wanted to start this trip off on the right foot and a winwas important for us," Odom said. "At the end of the game ourteam finally locked down and ran our offense."

"Everybody is contributing and playing well," Bryant said. "Itmakes the game fun. Tonight we just kept our poise and itshows. Our team is starting to grow together."

"The Bulls were double teaming on the post and leaving me open,"Vujacic said. "We are a dangerous team when we play togetherand share the basketball."

"As eye-popping as Kobe's numbers are, the reason they have therecord they do is because all their other guys are playingwell," frustrated Bulls coach Scott Skiles said. "Their benchhas been outstanding."

Odom's slam dunk helped the Lakers build an early 19-11 lead -their largest of the first half - with 3:02 left in the firstquarter.

Ben Wallace's layup in the second quarter got Chicago within39-38 with 2:52 left, but Luke Walton's layup put the Lakersback up, 49-45, at the half.

Deng scored 18 of his 26 points in the second half for Chicago, which was outrebounded, 52-41, and committed 18 turnovers.

"Consistency is something we have struggled with all year," Dengsaid. "We had seven turnovers when the game was on the lineand they made us pay for it."

Bynum is tearing it up!! He definitely needs more plays drawn out for him.

Bynum's put back dunk last night was a thing of beauty. He mashed it strong and came out of nowhere for the throw down.

Why can't Odom play the way he did every night? Great job Lamar. Please don't ever feel the need to double Ben Wallace though.

Sasha Vujacic aka White Mamba has finally found a role he can succeed at.
