<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>In the opinion of many, Vince Carter is the greatest dunker of all time…but not this year. Maybe it’s ankle, but Air Carter ranks only 64th this year on CBS Sportline’s Dunk-o-Meter with 13 slams. He is only third on the Nets, behind Richard Jefferson’s 25 dunks, ranking him 27th, and Sean Williams, who has 21, ranking him 35th. Williams leads all rookies. Dwight Howard leads the NBA with 112.</div>

    Hm. Vince should drive more.

Bright spot for Williams, thought. I hope he continues.

He's the franchise, teammates are looking at him as the 1st and 2nd option. He's getting great position, the teammate finds him, dunk.

Vince has lost so much explosiveness.

I'm going to try and make the best out of his situation because he is not going anywhere.

He is still a good shooter and an excellent passer, hes no superstar anymore but can be great role player. If Frank would treat him like a spot shooter instead of a #1 option the whole team would benefit.

He can still make the tough layup, so regardless how he gets the ball in the hoop, I'm game.

Carter had a good start to last season and he didn't really put up a whole lot of highlight type plays in that time. So just because he's not dunking or putting up highlight type plays as much doesn't mean he is not playing well.

Kobe doesn't dunk that much and with much explosive. But he is still one of the best scorers.

He just needs to shoot well, that's enough.

When's the last time you saw Vince do this?

Much less twice in a 2 and a half week span.

His reverse alley oop in the first minute of game 3 against the Raptors this past April put both of those dunks in the shade. Short memories here.

Short memories? You're talking about Vince in last year's playoffs, when Kobe busted both of these plays out in the past month.

I'm not even trying to hate on Carter, but he has shown less athleticism in his game.

I'm more specifically attacking the point that Kobe doesn't dunk or put athleticism in his game. And I doubt Vince can get up that high anymore, look at the point where Kobe caught the ball against the Magic, I don't know if Carter's puts that to shame. Both are impressive as hell.

Are people here blind? The man is playing with a BUM ANKLE. what kind of explosiveness can you provide with a bum ankle. He's been banged up since basically Game 6 of the season. Unbelievable the ridiculousness offered by the people here. He is basically RJ circa last year. Except Vince is still putting up better numbers than RJ did last year with his ankle injury.

</div>Lol, if you call Carter fat, you gotta call Ray Allen, Tmac, etc. fat.

    Which they aren't...

I would agree that Carter has shown less athleticism. Even MJ aged, he was more of a dunker when he was younger.

I would say Vince definitely isn't the dunker he was in his first few years, and he won't dunk as much as he did then, but he still get his share.

Vince is gonna be 31 in a month, while Kobe is 29. Kobe has 17 dunks to Carter's 14, big deal. Carter has had wear and tear, and the more of a high flier a player is, the more it wears on their knees.

Wasn't targeting you specifically, but you have to realize that saying anything bad about VC or even something not positive will draw the wrath of VC homers, which I was preparing for. You seem to get defensive pretty quickly, though.
