Is Scott Pioli step 1 of Bill Parcells master plan? There is a lot of speculation that Belicheat will walk away from the Patriots if they win the Super Bowl, which may loosen up the Patriots hold on Pioli a bit....add that to the fact that Pioli is married to Bill Parcells daughter and I think you could classify him as a Parcells guy....I like Mueller a lot, but Pioli is a proven evaluator and I like him better....

    Why would Belichick walk away?

If the idea is for Pioli to be in charge when Parcells retires, then this may be the deal sweet enough for Pioli to leave regardless of Belicheat. I hope your on to something, Beef.

Do you think Kraft would prevent him from leaving? I know he and Parcells detest each other.

I tried to google up some info on Pioli and found out that he signed a contract extention with the Patriots back in 05. Every article says that the details were not disclosed.

There is a lot of speculation that Belicheat is so pissed about Spygate that he wants to stick it to the league by going undefeated and then he will give them all a collective "fuck off" and ride off into the sunset....hes not a young guy, hes got plenty of money, hes got several teenage boys he doesnt get to see a lot....Do you have any idea how hard it is on someone to be the face of evil to millions of people? No matter how egotistical you are, it does take a toll eventually....

That's all just speculation by people.

Belichick had a yr left on his deal and then signed an extension through 2013 right after the whole spygate stuff. I don't think he would have done that if he were planning on leaving.
