    Playing no defense? Sorry, I've watched all the Nets ball games, when he was on the court, I was thrilled, and he played well, and didn't turn the ball over even just coming off the surgery !

    He didn't give up many points for his man.

    I doubt whether you have watched every game.</div>
    For Christ's sake, I'm basing him off these past three games, plus summer league. I have also said in another thread that he is still young so he still has the potential to be a good pg since he has the talent.
    And if you watched the games, this and last season, and summer league, then you can see he is easy to get past on the defensive end. He showed minimal improvement during the summer league, and there is no way he could improve from summer league while rehabbing his ankle. With all that said, I know he just got back from injury, but the player we all saw last season and in summer league was not impressive.
    </div>

    I know he was not good defensively in the rookie season, and I admit it, I didn't say he was not bad in defensive end.

    I mean, in the new season, even coming off the surgery, he is really fine, didn't make the mistake, and not playing no defense.

    He is in the first team in the summer league. And in the LA league, he scored 41 points.

    There is no relationship between now and his last season.

    Sean Williams is even worse in the summer league, but he is better than what he was in the summer league.

    Marcus broke his foot in 9/29, there are still so much time for him to train after he participated the summer league, how can you say He won't be improved? Why can't he train his basketball skills before he got injured?
    </div>
    Jarkid, Marcus is a below average defender! Get it through your head! Watch the games from summer league again if you can, where we saw the true Marcus Williams before the injury and after last season. Since 9/29, he was rehabbing from the injury, meaning he was in no shape to freaking improve. For Marcus's case, there is a relevance between this season and last because we have seen little improvement from summer league. Scoring 41 points in summer league just tells us something we already knew about him, he could score. Look at the stats of the opposing guards and looked how much they scored on him.
    Sean is basically excused when looking at his summer league play because one, summer league is guard dominated, and two, he didnt play organized ball for months before then.
    </div>

    I have the boxscore information around my board, and I just checked how many points did the opposing guards score in the summer league, as what I saw, they are not fired up on Marcus.

    Daequan Cook 7 points (FG:2/13) Marcus 28 points
    Kevin Kruger 11 points (FG:3/7) Marcus 19 points
    Bobby Brown 16 points (FG:7/18) Marucs 16 points
    Only Sepholosha scored 25 points in 35 mins, while Marcus played 28 mins.

    Don't take excuse, playing in the summer league, doesn't mean you won't be better than what you had done in the summer league.

    I know he is not a good defender, but what I saw in the his first three games, he was fine, he didn't give up many points and making turnovers.

    Stop your biased opinion on him, judge him after two more months.
    </div>
    Ive judged him from summer league, nothing else. That was the last time we saw the so called "improved Marcus". Ive watched those summer league games. They blew right past him, just couldnt finish or Marcus's teammates were forced to foul the player who blew past Marcus. He didnt get many points or turnovers because he has played so little. Stop trying to support a player who didnt show much now and back when he was playing his best in the summer.
    </div>

    You still don't catch my point,

    Sean Williams is even worse in the summer league, but he is better than what he was in the summer league.

    Marcus broke his foot in 9/29, there are still so much time for him to train after he participated the summer league, how can you say He won't be improved? Why can't he train his basketball skills before he got injured?

    Marcus had became slimmer after Summer League.

    And I already gave you the stats, the opposing guards didn't fire up ! Don't take one or two play to prove your point.

    Steve Nash is not known as a good defender, but I'm sorry, he is two times MVP.

    1) SEAN WASNT FREAKING INJURED AFTER SUMMER LEAGUE! ALL HE NEEDED TO DO WAS LEARN THE FREAKING SYSTEM.
    2) MARCUS COULD NOT IMPROVE HIS GAME SINCE HE COULD NOT PRACTICE WITH ONLY ONE FREAKING ANKLE!
    3) I ALREADY TOLD YOU DESPITE THE STATS THEY STILL BLEW PAST HIM EASILY>
    4) Dont EVER compare Marcus to Nash.

    Whatever, Im glad that it is all resolved now.

    Anyways, a player like Marcus cannot improve so much in like 3 months as to what some people think he could. We needed him to improve his defense and in his decision making, both of which takes a whole summer to even just improve a little bit on. He sadly did not show us any improvement in those areas in summer league. Defense is a huge part of the game, it cannot be ignored. And if your decision making as a point guard is poor, there is little hope for you unless you still affect the team positively despite the mistakes you make.
