Chicago (9-14) at Boston (20-3) 7:00 pm EST

BOSTON (Ticker) -- The Boston Celtics will look to bounce back from a home loss for the first time this season.

After becoming the last NBA team to lose a home game, the Celtics look to re-establish their home court dominance when they host the Chicago Bulls on Friday.

Before losing, 87-85, to the Pistons, the Celtics matched the second-best start in NBA history - tying the 1963-64 Celtics - who went on to win the NBA title.

Boston's 12-0 start at home was second in franchise history to the 1957-58 team, which won its first 17 on its own court.

Kevin Garnett led the Celtics with 26 points but could only watch as Detroit's Chauncey Billups drew a late foul on the Celtics' Tony Allen. Billups hit both free throws with a tenth of a second left in the game to hand the Pistons the victory.

Ray Allen returned after a two-game hiatus due to a sore right ankle and scored 24 for the Celtics.

The Bulls have alternated wins with losses over the last seven games. The latest game was Wednesday's 95-84 road victory over the Washington Wizards in which Ben Gordon scored 22 points and Luol Deng added 20.

Big game tonight and both teams need this win.

Chicago needs to win to show everyone that they're one of the top teams in the East, while Boston needs to win to remain the best in the league and let everyone know that the previous game with Detroit was a fluke. [IMG]

Oh man, did anyone see the half-time interview with Perk? The guy was sweating as much as the snow was falling two days ago!

After losing a heart breaker to Detroit on Wednesday night, the Celtics rebounded from the loss in convincing against the Bulls, delivering yet another blowout victory at the Garden (107-82). The Celtics were dominant on the glass from the start, and held a 30-13 advantage at the half. Chicago hurt Boston in transition early in the game, but was shut down in the halfcourt and was unable to get on a roll all night long.

In the second half, it was all Celtics. They devastated Chicago defensively, even in garbage time, and sucked the life right out of them by knocking down three after three. Nice win for the boys.

It was also nice to see Tony Allen explode for a couple dunks in transition tonight, including a cock-back two-hander in the fourth quarter. "TA" surely is looking better every day, let's hope he can return to form by playoff time.

It was nice that the big guns were able to get an extended rest at the end of this one, as Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic will come to town on Sunday night (6:00 pm ET). The C's have some unfinished business with them; it should be a heck of a game.
