http://sportstwo.com/NCAAB/Story/NCAAB/1387973 Report: Pitt's Cook out for season Friday, December 21, 2007 06:10 PM BRISTOL, Connecticut (Ticker) -- The career of Pittsburgh senior guard Mike Cook could be over. ESPN.com reported Friday that Cook will be out for the season after tearing an anterior cruciate ligament in Thursday's 65-64 overtime victory over seventh-ranked Duke. Cook's left knee buckled with a minute remaining in overtime, and he was yelling in agony while being helped to the locker room. The school has not updated Cook's condition and was waiting for the results of an MRI test on Friday, according to the ESPN.com report. However, Pittsburgh coach Jamie Dixon did not sound optimistic following Thursday's game in which the ninth-ranked Panthers (11-0) rallied from a 12-point halftime deficit. "This was a bittersweet victory," Dixon said. "We don't think this is good for Mike, so we are trying to figure out what to do." In his second season at Pittsburgh after transferring from East Carolina, Cook is the Panthers' fourth-leading scorer, averaging 10.4 points per game.
Yea, figured as much. Didn't see it personally, but when KC mentioned it over AIM, torn ACL immediately entered my mind.
