Thabo is French for bust. From the latin root word Thabnum, which is "to waste a lottery pick". I'm happy to see Viktor Khryapa get some burn and launch a shot at every opportunity. Someone might want to explain to him that sort of thing and the dirty looks he'd give teammates who didn't pass him the ball are what got him a year full of splinters in his ass. Kirk... I'm starting to lose some faith here. Deng was as invisible as he's been this year. Joe Smith makes me yearn for PJ Brown. He's pitiful Gordon... wasn't that awful, at least. Gray, keep it up. No matter what happens you're a much better looking man than Chris Kaman and (short of taking a sledge hammer to your face) always will be. Thomas, you aren't smart enough. Noah, you're too much of a smartypants. Nobody wants to see a 6'11" with no offensive game trying to slash to the basket. Scott Skiles... I can't decide whether you deserve better or you deserve what you're getting.
I developed a theory tonight. Bulls fans are overly impressed with Aaron Gray because they can't remember the last time there was a fundamentally sound big man on the team.

We traded the 16th pick (Rodney Carney), the 38th pick (Kyrylo Fesenko, who would have been fun to have just around to type out his name), and $1M to get him. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (CelticKing @ Dec 21 2007, 10:08 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>What did you think about the Celtics? Their old guys could very well hit the wall if they aren't careful. But barring injuries or whatever, I really like their chances. And like I said, Rondo's quite a player

Of course, it's not his fault he's the best guy on the court for us. If anyone else was playing better than hot garbage it might be a different story.
I can some it up. Every time one of our players touches the ball they are looking to shot, in a bad way. It's like they've all given up and are just trying to pad their stats. This team has no will to win. A big part of that should go with Skiles -- who just gave up tonight. But at some level, at every level, you also have to blame the players. Where is the leadership?

I wonder if they are playing bad b/c Deng and Gordon are in contract years. But I guess there is also the fact that Hinrich has been shooting bad, and Ben Wallace has those spurs in his foot.

Every time he stinks it up some old war wound has flared up. I think if he was playing on a better team they might disappear. Then again, he might just be old and broken down. As far as Deng and Gordon, it's kind of hard to tell. Usually guys who are looking out for number one at least inflate their stats with their play. Deng and Gordon are both having inferior seasons statistically. So if they're doing something different to improve their value, they're shooting themselves in the foot.

Now if only 1 player was doing this then and he still received the easy passes from other players then he would have inflated stats, but if both players are taking more bad shots, then both player's numbers go down. Just a theory, which is probably wrong. Might just be the need for a low-post scoring bigman.
