Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere (didn't see any blurbs about it on NetsDaily), but Twin was loudly booed twice last night. The first was when he first checked into the game for Sean Williams. The next was when he was shooting his free throws after the flagrant. Now, I've been going to Nets games since 95, and saw much worse teams. But I've NEVER seen a player on the Nets booed before even doing anything. I've seen players booed for missing free throws or shots. I've seen players booed because they demanded a trade or talked bad about management. But Twin was booed for just CHECKING IN. And, after he had just been flagrant fouled, the crowd booed him AS HE WENT TO THE LINE. It was so bad, Vince Carter was gesturing to the crowd to stop the boos. Sadly, I don't see anyway light at the end of the tunnel. It's not like he's capable of having a great game that will make everyone forgive him. And with his contract, I doubt he'll be able to get traded. I found it very surprising - I know Twin gets a lot of hate here (I'm not a fan either), but I just take this board's opinion as that of the very hardcore and dedicated fan. But, it is clear that the majority of the fan base has now turned on him.
Twins, Twin ur right that there probably no light at the end of the tunnel. But have any of you seen his Girlfriend????? omg twin could care less about those boo's shes HOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

That's because most of the fans in the seats are even less intelligent than you Carter homers. All you people know is box scores. Pathetic.

Lawrence Frank has been going on and on about the little things for years and basically hugging Collin's nutsack at all times so it's no wonder that fans take out there anger on Collins when its mostly due to Frank's mismanagement of the team.

It's not his fault he's not that talented, and that our front office sucks at bringing in good frontcourt players...and that Frank sucks at giving any new frontcourt player a chance. Besides, if it weren't for Collins, we wouldn't have those great backdoor-cut alley-oops, like the one we saw last night! Gotta give him props for that.
maybe the boo's will motivate twin to fix his jumper. at least when he came in the league he could hit a jumper and his free throws, but ever since he kept getting bigger hes gotten worse. he slims down but hes just not the same and its annoying and frustrating. but twin is a bright spot. now kids can know that even if you cant shoot, cant make a layup, cant dunk or cant rebound as long as you box out, commit hard fouls, set good screens and be the coaches buddy you too can make millions and millions and millions of dollars in the nba.

He's gotten progressively worse on the offensive side of the ball every year he's been in the league, and it's gotten to a point where the Nets have been playing 4 vs. 5 on offense for the past three years. I love what he brings on the defensive side of the ball, but even his defensive effectiveness is quickly becoming insignificant with how athletic the league is becoming. I've always supported Collins, and while I don't think he deserves to be booed by any means, he definitely does not deserve the praise that some people give him. At least not anymore, he doesn't.

Pathetic.</div> can we just please shut the hell up with this already? he's not as valuable as you think, Thorn has been trying to move him ever since he was signed, w have tried for three offseaosn now to find a big who can replace him and now we have Boone who has. He sucks, plain and simple. he cant grab rebounds, and on the offensive end, NOBODY guards him and they close the paint on VC and RJ. As much as he does "the little things", he makes life harder for VC, RJ and Kidd on the offensive end so it's a catch 22, he puts to much pressure on RJ and VC offensive while helps them defensively.

I dont like that he gets booed, but if a move were made to trade him, I wouldnt complain.
