The Nets seem to be going back to their defensive philosophy.

    - Choosing not to re-sign Eddie House. A great offensive threat but a defensive liability.

    - Low balling Mikki and letting him walk. Low balling him is up for debate but after the kind of season he had most teams would keep him, the only reason I could think they didn't was because he literally can't play defense.

    - Jamal Magloire signing - Shot blocker, rebounder and strong body in the paint. You can't be a good defensive team without having a guy like Magloire on the team, enforcer type.

    - Drafting Sean Williams passing up Bellini, Jason Smith. Shot blocking and rebounding over mid ranger shooting.

    - Various reports say they are in the maket for a 3rd string pg/sg who plays defense.

    The clogs in their pipes.

    - Carter - I like him I really do but he is an average defender at best.

    - Boki, Marcus - I am very high on both but they seem to be offensive players.

I think part of why the Nets opted for Magloire over Moore was due to money. Less 1st year, 2 years less. Not sure that was only for defensive reasons.
