The network formerly known as the NFL Network is dedicated to bring you as much Patriots coverage as time will allow. In addition to the NFL Replay of Dolphins @ Patriots, the Patriots Network will scrap the NFL Networks old format of showing four more of the best games between any of the 31 irrelevant teams in order to air 6 complete re-airs of Patriots games from earlier this season. If that doesn't make you want to throw yourself in front of a moving snowplow, there will be a three hour Path to Perfection special to be followed by a three hour pregame show. yippee.
Here are a couple of interesting articles. This article is about the record setting amount of programming being devoted to the Patriots @ Giants game. I noticed that the article mentioned that the game is going to be carried on over-the-air stations in those markets. I wonder if that was a concession being made by the NFL because a couple of senators suggested that they might need to review the NFL's antitrust exemption. Here is a link to that article.

I pay for it and I want more balanced coverage of the NFL. Who knows if the Patriots will win the Super Bowl? They might not even beat the Giants this week. Then, they will have wasted all this time pushing the Path of Perfection of a team that might not end up perfect. Unless the NFL knows something about the certainty of the Patriots remaining perfect that I don't know. It's only friggin history, if the fix is in. Even if the Patriots do finish with a perfect season, I'll never cherish the success of a worthless cheating piece of crap like Bill Belichick.
Balanced coverage is good and fine and all that. The Patriots are on the verge of setting a record. No team since the fins have gone undefeated, and certainly none in the last 34 years. It's newsworthy and the NFL should be milking it for all it's worth. If the Pats lose to the Giants, they'll be talking about how they lost for quite a while, too. It's just the nature of the beast.
I'm tired of seeing this same old song and dance by certain people. You hate Belichick, or the Pats, OK, we get it. Enough already, damn. Is this what we're going to have to endure here at Sportstwo for yrs to come? NFL network is doing it for one week only, it's not like they did it all yr or something. Something on brink like this, doesn't happen very often. Which you obviously know. Regardless, if you pay the money to watch regular coverage. Doesn't matter. It's one week. Just simply, get over it and don't watch it. Not like there's much going on in the world of football besides this, other than 6 seeds and seeding, which ESPN will cover.

I think the accomplishment, if actually accomplished, is newsworthy, but I think the emphasis should be saved for the Super Bowl buildup if the Patriots are in it. If the Patriots lose in the post-season, then all this hoopla is for nothing. There are still some very good teams that deserve some coverage and a few of them have a legit shot at being the next World Champions.

It's not much different than when Roger Maris was on the verge of breaking Babe Ruth's single season home run record. The media scrutiny was intense, and you can add to it the media center that NYC is in the first place. Nobody was complaining about those poor Pittsburgh Pirates not getting the coverage they deserved. What I'm having trouble with is that regular season games rarely have the kind of meaning and implications this one does. Regardless of how the game turns out, it's a golden opportunity for the league to hype the game. As well, the Superbowl is the crown jewel of the NFL, but in reality it may not be the game that truly determines the champion. Any Given Sunday, sure, but ... to use an NBA analogy, the Western Conference Championship series has been much more important in deciding the eventual champion than the Finals series in recent years.
Records are made to be broken. So, whatever happens happens. Years ago, I said that all records held by the Dolphins or a certain QB would be broken except one. Hint: K Warner & Gannon came close a few years back. I agree w/ Dale in the fact that it is called the NFL Network and the coverage should balanced. I hope Comcast (my provider) does not get this network & if they do its a premium channel. I'd rather have several shopping channels removed & get the BBC plus ESPNews before I even consider getting the NFL Network. After the recent jets game, the post game interviews were an interesting thing. Belichick was his usual terse self, Brady is getting more arrogant each interview I see. The most practical & grounded interviewee I saw was Randy Moss. Randy Moss? The Pats players were unnecessarily cocky during the phins game ... Pride goeth before the fall. Lets just say; I have a hunch when the Pats will lose & why. I have got to do a little research to validate & post my theory.
Well if you want to look at this in a positive way Pat-hater, the Pats could possibly be setting themselves up for the biggest chokejob in the History of the NFL. And Patriot fans wouldn't be able to say that it happened because Brady doesn't have the right weapons around him, which was a lame argument last year (you get spotted 18 points and great field position in a playoff game, you shouldn't choke). I mean seriously, he's been a little off lately, it is no lock that they will get through the Colts/etc. Relax man.
I'm sure you wouldn't care if it was the Dolphins pursuing 19-0. Not saying I agree with what NFL Network is doing, because I don't, but come on, let them have their time in the light.
