<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>No Sign Of Giricek Gordan Giricek did not practice with the Utah Jazz on Christmas Day in the team's first home workout following its long road trip. And while Jazz GM Kevin O'Connor was to have spoken twice with coach Jerry Sloan by Tuesday night, no one was saying if any decisions had been made on Giricek's future. -- Deseret Morning News # Coach Jerry Sloan talked about Giricek with vice president of basketball operations Kevin O'Connor on the telephone Tuesday afternoon, but offered no hints whether he fits into the team's long-range plans. "Kevin and I have discussed it," Sloan said. "We're going to discuss it again after practice and see where we go." Asked if a "decision" on Giricek's future with the Jazz would be made during his second conversation with O'Connor, Sloan said, "I'm not sure we're going to make a decision. We're just trying to decide what's the best thing to do." -- Salt Lake Tribune</div>
This is a damn shame. Giricek is a good role player that can help out any team. It's not as if the Jazz are a deep team that can afford to let good players get away for nothing.
