I love this whole D-League concept. Now, if only it could expand so that each NBA team has their own NBDL team, that'd be great.
Well this concept is nice, but making it any bigger to baseball levels won't work, simply because NBA teams don't need as many players as baseball teams. Maybe if the limit of players per team can be raised to something like 18 from 15 would make the concept more plausible as more teams would be willing to take on projects and young players and dispatch them to the minor league. I really like how the Rockets have utilized the D-League this season though. Both Brooks and Novak have excelled at the level and it's good to have somewhere to send young players when they aren't getting any playing time. I'd like to see Landry sent there for some seasoning, but it seems Adelman wants the insurance of an active big man in the roster.
