Just for fun, lets re-do the lottery.

I'll make the 1st pick, the next poster makes the second and so on.

    1) Greg Oden

Even with his injury I doubt the Blazers would think twice. Putting him alongside Alridge and Roy is just too good to pass up, Durant hasn't been that impressive.

    5. Sean Williams (if Moon could've been drafted this year, he would be here)

    Joakim Noah.

I know you were thinking Jeff Green here, but Noah if he gets more minutes will be a top 5 rookie.

I'd love to be a part of this, but you guys need to be serious for it to work nicely. I'm pretty sure Kid Chocolate was just joking around for his 6th pick because of what BG7 has said about Gray. So where are we, really? 6, 7, 8?

You wouldn't want the next Tim Duncan @ #6?

We need some organization with this. It could be fun and successful, but let's be serious with it and try to finish the whole first round. So far we have:

    1. Portland - Greg Oden
    2. Seattle - Kevin Durant
    3. Atlanta - Al Horford
    4. Memphis - Yi Jianlian

Then after that I'm lost and don't know who was kidding around.

You have to consider circumstance, and Memphis doesn't need Yi Jianlian. Mike Conley, Jr. was/is the fourth best player in the draft, and he fit a bigger need.

    But whatever...

    5) Seattle - Mike Conley, Jr.

That's the problem with something like this. The Nets fan will say, "Sean Williams is worth a top ten pick." The average fan would say, "I'd take Sean Williams in the mid-first," and the cautious fan would say, "I don't want Sean Williams on my basketball team." I think if the draft were redone, 99 times out of 100, Jeff Green, and others, would still be picked over Williams.

    1. Portland - Greg Oden
    2. Seattle - Kevin Durant
    3. Atlanta - Al Horford
    4. Memphis - Yi Jianlian
    5. Seattle - Mike Conley
    6. Milwaukee - Sean Williams
    7. Minnesota - Jeff Green

I'm not picking by team, I'm picking by player-talent.

And I'm not sure you put Conley 4th, because he hasn't done anything yet, due to injury. It's too early to do the draft over, frankly.

At this point, how can you not put Sean Williams top 10? Would you take someone like Spencer Hawes or Brandan Wright over him, at this point? Thaddeus Young? Don't think so.

I think that many people would make a case for Sean over Jeff. By 'many people' I mean people who work for ESPN and SI.

That being said, you're lucky we only had one draft choice this year [IMG]

Oh, and I understand that Rookie Rankings aren't the exact same thing as a draft order. I just brought that up to demonstrate that valuing Sean Williams can be done by a Nets fan in an objective manner.
