I don't see he had much of a choice except to play Nocioni or Deng at SG, or to play Thabo.
It's getting ugly now. San Antonio 6 quick points. Bulls clumsy on offense, just turned it over again. Nocioni is ice cold and really not helping us much. Duhon for 3!
Thomas is in. Myers struggling to find any players to contribute with Hinrich and Gordon sitting out.
Myers brings in Hinrich and Gordon. Looks like Gray, Thomas, Gordon, Hinrich, and Thomas. Thomas gets his shot blocked by 3 spurs - pick one. Thomas out for Deng.
This game is basically over. 11 point lead for the Spurs. The bulls have no ability to really attack the rim and draw fouls. Meanwhile, the Spurs have so much confidence they're raining 3's on us. Finley for 3, Myers timeout. We've been outscored 20-5 this Q so far. 41-27 spurs.

He needs to be nursed back to health by a steady diet of minutes
Like it or not, the game turned when Myers took out Wallace near the end of Q1. He hasn't been back in since. Gray is -9 in 2:45 of PT. Where's Joe Smith?
Two straight layups for Parker. The 2nd on a horrible pass / turnover by Hinrich. Gordon is 3-3. For a guy who's looking for his shot every play, he's not shooting much (and he should be shooting more).
Hinrich hits a shot, finally, from a good 5 feet inside the 3pt line. Atta boy. Then he makes another bad pass turnover and another layup for Parker. Parker's scored 12 or 14 points this Q against Hinrich. Gordon creates for himself and gets a layup. Give the guy the ball, dammit
We're just getting killed. 28-11 this quarter. I don't think the players gave up on Skiles, entirely. Maybe Skiles was right that the Bulls simply are very poorly constructed, as-is. It's just stunning how Hinrich has regressed. If you can't count on him to control the offense and not turn it over so much, we're in trouble.

Not that they really need to the way our veteran perimeter players seem to be getting abused.
Gordon misses a shot, grabs his own board. They give him the ball at the top of the key, nice bounce pass to Smith for the layup. He's going to be a really good player for some team next season, if he's not traded in the next few days.
51-39 at half. Gordon and Hinrich a combined 5-6 that Q, made a pretty big difference. The Bulls did cut the lead by 5 down to 12.
