    Gordon dunked!

    Under pressure, too.

Spurs announcer said "I didn't know he could get up like that."

Bulls down 11. They had the lead cut to 8 for a few minutes there.

Myers has not made a substitution in the 2nd half yet.

Hinrich, Gordon, Deng, Wallace, Smith have played the whole quarter.

Myers wouldn't comment on potential lineup changes, but Paxson said Monday he would become involved in certain decisions on playing time. Team sources said moving Gordon into a sixth-man role had been discussed.

Cheaper to re-sign him. That's all I can say about that.

^^^ And, Paxson really ought to go out and coach these guys himself. He made this team, let's see if he could win with it.

    Doubtful.

Firing a coach is a great time to go around and spend a couple weeks and figuring out, in practice, why 95% of the coffee table ideas you think about your team are never going to work.

Of course, if he coached them himself, there's that much less chance someone else can take the fall.

1st sub of the second half: Nocioni in for Smith.

I actually think a modification to Skiles' offense could do wonders for this team. You'd have to get Deng and Nocioni to buy in, though.

Guy gets the ball at the top of the key (Hinrich). Drive, kick, pass back to another guy at the top of the key. Repeat. Always attacking the basket. Beats watching guys dribble the ball from one side of the court to the other after the 1st drive doesn't yield anything.

    End of Q3, 72-59 Spurs

    Hinrich 2-7, 6 assists, 2 TO, 1 stl, 3 PF, 4 points.
    Gordon 8-13, 3 reb, 3 ast, 2 TO, 3 PF, 18 points
    Smith 7-10, 10 reb, 1 ast, 2 blocks, 15 points
    Deng 5-13, 6 reb, 1 ast, 12 points
    Wallace 0-3, 4 reb, 3 ast, 2 stl, 0 points.
    Nocioni 0-7, 3 reb, 1 ast, 1 TO, 2 blk, 0 points.
    Duhon 4-4, 1 ast, 2 TO, 10 points

basically goose eggs for everyone else.

Smith and Wallace still the only two players with a positive +/-

    Deng is in.

I don't expect there will be major changes to the offense. For one, it's the middle of the year, and for two, the likely coach is Skiles right-hand man for his entire coaching career.

What we're going to get is Skiles' tactics with a mandate to play players based on what Paxson wants to see.

It's going to suck. Boylan was interviewed for head coaching jobs, so he may actually be ready to step up. I'd be interviewing in the off-season if my GM were dictating how I coach.

Yep. I think if I were Boylan I'd be pretty hesitant to get in that position. There's little chance he gets to stay past this year, and his record this year won't be in his hands with the GM coaching by proxy.

Paxson just called Myers' cell phone and told him to put Thabo in the game.

Up until now, I would say I'm extremely happy with the rotation Myers has used. He was really handcuffed by 2 fouls each to Gordon and Hinrich in Q1, though.

Thabo gets into the scorebook with a loose ball foul.
