So Frank decides to give up with ~2:45 left in the game, and sends out Team Garbage. Billy Thomas gets some burn, but Magloire is kept on the bench; the only player to recieve a DNP-CD. After they broke during the timeout I couldn't find Magloire anywhere. I thought he just decided to call it a night and went into the locker room. Then shortly after he's laying down by our bench, and is getting stretched out by one of the staff. He's got a right to be pissed. He's risen his performance to hit around 7 and 7 whenever he gets significant bench minutes, and doesn't even get garbage time? Plus don't tell me that Billy Thomas has done more to the team than Magloire to warrant getting some spare minutes. Now I've reasoned that Magloire could have just been legit tight from sitting down all game, and could have just been using available resources, but I can't remember seeing this type of behavior from a bench player (especially given the context). What do you all think?
Maybe Frank doesn't want to give Magloire 2 minutes in a game, to make his stats this season look bad if they trade him? *Edit* Look worse than they already are.

^ I noticed that during the Warriors game we were at the other night..it got to the point where he looked so bored, he just started riding the bike to keep himself busy. I feel bad for the guy. A fan the row next to me was like "Hey Maglorie! (said his name wrong) Why is that idiot Frank paying you $4 million for!? He should play you!"

But he deserves it, Jamal's gonna leave his heart out on the court while Malilk decides to play no defense at all.

Sounds like a loser to me. The sooner he's traded the better.
Frank should have tried Magloire with 2 minutes left in the 1st half. He came back with Collins and Allen (who couldn't get a rebound to save his life), and then Pistons went on a 9-2 run to end the half. The game was over right there.
Just a matter of time...it's tough to make a trade without a general manager... <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Frank should have tried Magloire with 2 minutes left in the 1st half. Stefanski was a glorified assistant. The new hire probably won't even have the title "General Manager".
he sucks but so does every single other clown on our frontcourt not named Sean and Boone. he can atleast rebound unlike Collins who sucks at every facet of basketball
I think Frank intends to keep him in a ziplock baggie until the playoffs. I think his conditioning is suspect and there is a fear of injury ruining his value.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Jamaal Magloire gave the Nets some good first-half minutes with four points and four rebounds in 7:44 of court action.</div> http://njmg.typepad.com/zzone/2007/12/back-to-back-wi.html Think it's possible he was simply being showcased? Or is he gonna actually have a role from now on?
First of all, Magloire has said it plenty of times that he wants to end up like Moore and that's the reason he came here. He was only going to be here one season then cash out. Least Moore wanted to stay in a way but everyone thought he should take the money. Secondly, Magloire dosen't try when he's out because he thinks he's to good for the second unit and just wants easy passes from Kidd to boost up his stats. Yes his rebounding is one of the best on the teams but he has almost no team chemistry since he pretty much is a FA on an NBA team. He's lazy and that's that. This comming out of a Magloire fan as well.
