Nick Barnett, Packers LB, is filing a grievance against Jim Quirk for the way Quirk took him down during the game on Sunday. I can't say that I blame him. If players need to be careful about how they touch an official, then that needs to go the other way as well.

Here is the YouTube video of the incident.

I saw a picture of Quirk "restraining" Barnett. It almost looked like a Wrestling sleeper hold. I'd say a Steiner recliner but it looked more like a Crippler crossface.

I just saw a blurb that said that Quirk got fined a game check. Now, I thought he got a little out of hand, but to fine him an entire game check? That seems a bit harsh. Anyone know how much officials make?

The first time I saw that hold, I think it was sometime in the 80's, during Saturday Night's Main Event. It was Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake vs. Greg "The Hammer" Valentine. Earlier that evening, Bret "The Hitman" Hart was robbed of victory by one "Macho Man" Randy Savage. That was not one of my favorite nights, as I am a big fan of the Hart Foundation. Bret Hart's best finisher was not the "sharpshooter", but rather, his piledriver, in my opinion.

Going off on a tangent, the best finishing move is Sweet Chin Music. Though, B. Hart may disagree.

Quirk is going to have to learn to wrap up with his legs if he wants to lock in the hold. He needs to watch this Samoa Joe video.
