<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Despite his frustrations with losing, Wally Szczerbiak, who can make $13 million in the final year of his deal next season, has not asked for a trade. "We'll see how things go," he said. "I got traded and it was totally unexpected the first two times. I don't know what direction the franchise will think they want to go. I'm not a mind-reader. Right now I'm here and trying to make the most of my minutes when I'm given minutes and hopefully other teams are taking notice. "I've always tried to shy away from that. I try not to make demands out in public and try to keep things in-house and talk behind the scenes and behind closed doors. Then if it happens, it happens." -- Seattle Times</div>
He should be accustomed to losing at this point. He went through some down years in Minny and Boston.
Funny how Wally denies asking for a trade and then says that he is playing to be noticed by other teams. Don't tell us that you will make any trade requests in house if you aren't trying to leave. That is a truly backhanded way of asking out. At this stage I am sure that we would love to get out from under his contract. Can you believe that someone actually thought that Wally is worth 12 million dollars a year? Kevin McHale should be committed.
