1/2 while earning 24 million and gets worse every year. It amazes me how he gets paid for being 7 ft. Just had to get that off my chest.

Well, he was a major reason the Nets beat the Raptors in the playoffs.

Without him, they probably would have lost.

So, you are wrong. He has a role in the NBA.

When you post the total value of his contract you are no longer talking about just this season

lol at this, although I agree with Jizzy: Collins is overpaid.

But I contend that his salary does not determine his place in the NBA. Players don't 'make it' in the NBA because of salary; its based on skills.

So while I'm sure we can all agree that triplezerosausagelipscowlins is overpaid, he does belong in the NBA. He would be an attractive candidate if he was paid ~1.25 (I'm guessing the vets minimum by pulling it out of my ass!) and served as Magloire is playing now: one who gets DNP-CD's until a match up is needed (Raptors in playoffs)

    You've got problems.

You are either completely oblivious to how the game of basketball is played or you're either being completely dishonest.

so you are basically saying he doesn't belong in the NBA because of what occurs this year. Two years ago you opinion might of been different when he annoyed the hell out of Jermaine O Neal.

Collins has help the Nets at times. I remember when Deke went down and he had to step in to roll of starting C and same with Zo.

I know now Collins is feeling the wraith of Sean William's fame. I feel he shouldn't be starting but he is a good bench player.

He's proven he belongs in the NBA, so the premise of this thread is wrong.

Cliffy bothered JON more, and he's out of the league. maybe out of the league is a bit harsh, he's an ok 15th man now.

toronto series, right? players do get worse, ya know.

but your right, he's be a good camp invitee and a decent 15th man. guess that means he made it.

So, because a 41 year old player has retired, but in your judgement "bothered" Jermaine O'Neal a lot, Jason Collins doesn't belong in the NBA?

    Your logic mystifies me.

    Sure. Among others.

Not sure what your argument is that he isn't an NBA player.

I looked through the whole thread but don't see one.
