<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Cleveland coach Mike Brown asked Damon Jones and Ira Newble to go into the game Tuesday with less than a minute left and with the Cavs holding a commanding lead according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Veteran Eric Snow went in instead. It is not clear why Jones refused, but maybe it was because his overall playing time has been reduced for the past two seasons and probably because he asked the Cavs for a trade in the off-season and they have not accommodated his request. Jones most recently played 12 minutes Dec. 19 against the New York Knicks.

Before Thursday's game against the Dallas Mavericks, Brown said the issue is an internal matter and he would not comment further. The Cavs fined Jones an undisclosed amount. It is not known if Newble was fined.</div>

There is nothing worse than this type of behavior. I'd love to see Danny Ferry tell these two clowns to stay home and ban them from the facility.

I heard about Jones refusing to go in, but it's not a surprise. He's arrogant, but that's part of his game. His problem: he never lived up to his self proclaimed "best shooter in the world" title in Cleveland. What else can he expect? Newble I like, he is a solid player and I feel for him, that he can't get solid minutes. I'm looking to see these two go, perhaps for a 2nd, but they might not even be able to get that for them.

It's not surprising, but it's utter disrespect for the game of basketball. This team is coming off a Finals appearance and these two knuckleheads are worried about their playing time. Instead of bitching and moaning maybe they should practice harder and work their way back into the rotation.

I hope LeBron blasts these two guys for not listening to their head coach.

These people need to realize that they simply are not very good players. Damon Jones does nothing but shoot the 3, and he's a volume shooter at that. Newble is tough and is able to defend some of the bigger wings in the league. It's sickening for me to see player of this caliber feel that they have the right to ask for a trade. First of all, nobody wants either one of them. Secondly, like shape said, they are absolutely disrespecting the game and their team.
