Currently I have Time Warner Cable, but my parents are thinking of switching over to Direct TV because it is cheaper. I'm just wondering if they still have FSN, because we're kind of confused over what type of channels they will provide. If someone around the area can give me the info, I'll really appreciate it
When I had DirecTv they had the local FSN included in extended cable and you could pay for a high tiered package to get access to all the FSNs....
Alright thanks for the info. I appreciate it. I never knew you could gain access to all the different FSN channels. That sounds pretty cool, but we'll probably stick with one. lol. Thanks again
I have directv and get FSNY. If you get the sports package you can get all the FSN's, but when games come on them, they get blacked out.
Wow, whats the point then? i nearly got the package when the Cubs started playing a ton of games on FS-Chicago but i never did....I would have been very upset if I paid for it but couldnt see the games....
What's the point of getting all the FSNs if you aren't able to see the games? They don't really have any good programs at all, or at least the FSN here doesn't. It's just local college, and local professional games. If nothing is on, they usually do replays
Yea, it's ridiculous. The college games might be on, but all the pro sports games get blacked out. I had it for a month, and immediately canceled when I found that out. They want you to buy their league passes, so they black em out.
I think they black out games that are supposed to be blacked out, not all of them. In any case, I have Cox here in Vegas and it's outstanding. In spite of this, DirecTV now has a wide array of HD programming, and all the channels are digital, which makes it so attractive I may buy it. It's also cheaper by a little bit, if I did my figuring right. The startup costs are something to consider (you buy your DTV equipment). I would definately keep my Cox Internet...
they will usually give you all the equipment for free if you sign a years agreement for programming....
I remember when I was living in Vegas (back in 98,99,00) they would play Laker games on FSN...but I'm back in CA now, where I belong hehe
