Last I checked, we missed tons of easy layups, and tons of easy open looks early on. How is that attributed to your defense?

Ray Allen is the truth, **** Paul Pierce.

San Antonio, Detroit > Boston. But damn, they're good.

Lakers are pathetic tonight. They came out with absolutely no fire, extremely flat tonight.

    Lakers 5-17 from 3-point range

    Kobe Bryant 5-22
    Lamar Odom 6-15

Lakers as a team 23-68 and 34.3% shooting

Yep the team with the #1 defense in the league plays every single team when they have a bad shooting night..yep that's why they're the #1 defense. Because the #1 defense in the league gave the Lakers 45 wide open shots and layups.

I don't know what your bitching about. Nobody is downplaying your defense. Like I said, we've missed a lot of easy looks early on. Easy layups, open shots, free throws. Again, nobody is downplaying your defense, but it's not the only reason why we're so horrible today. We came out flat, and we look uninspired while the Celtics came out determined, ready for the win. Props to you guys, you're the better team. What do you want me to do? Ride your jock the entire game?

Sorry, but there is a Celtics thread. If you want everyone to be praising you and jumping for joy, maybe you should be posting there instead. They have a gamethread too you know

Kobe 5-22, WTF is that. He is forcing way too many horrible shots.

We had our chances, both Allens got in to foul trouble early in the game. That was our chance to capitalize and we end up missing lay up and wide open shots.

Horrible game for the Lakers today. Nothing went their way. It's time to focus on their next 3 games which are very winnable.

No I want people on the outside looking in to recognize how hard this team has worked defensively, not how many points we put up a night. San Antonio and Detroit have gained their reputation on their defense and I think that's what this team should be recognized for. Every single night fans on opposing teams after the game say "we had a horrible shooting night"

There's a reason teams have horrible shooting nights every time they face the Celtics and I want people to understand that.

Lol Laker fans act like they've never seen a bad night from Kobe before. It happens, especially when you're a scorer. Lamar had an equally bad game, Bynum was shit, Phil Jackson (hate blaming him) didn't coach for shit.

The team came in with the mentality that they were going to get ass raped, and they did.

Well then good for you. Have I once said the Boston Celtics have a horrible defense? No I haven't. Like I said, you guys do have a great defense, you guys do have a great team. But that's not the only reason why we looked so horrible today. Like I said, we missed a lot of open looks, and a lot of easy layups we should have made. Is that not true? What do you want us to do? Bow down to you and drool over your team? Why don't you go over to the Celtics gamethread then

I think Odom heard the Patriots were holding open try-outs, he was auditioning. That was a pretty nice tackle.

Are you serious? Odom's underachieving ass has a terrible night and gets blown out at home, so it's alright to try and hurt somebody? Fuck Lamar Odom and fuck anybody who applauds him for that classless action.

If he doesn't get suspended for that, I'll be pissed.

    Want a tissue?

Ray Allen isn't exactly the most classy guy in the league.

LOL this shit is ****ing amazing, the refs decide to call all the fouls in the world in the final 30 seconds. Suck my nuts, they were ****ing terrible tonight, but so were the Lakers.

How good will Boston be when Pierce and Allen get bit with their yearly injury bug?

    Can we cut Luke Walton?

I didn't see the hit (I've turned off my TV), but I don't wish injury on anyone. I've never had a problem with Ray Allen before either, except that little spat he had with Kobe, but that's history. Ray Allen has always been a stand up guy, so I would never wish any harm on him. I wouldn't worry about Lamar, he's a classless punk, career under acheiver. He'll get what he deserves
