I wish the 49ers hadn't won those few games. I still like the high pick for the Patriots but was hoping we would be in a position to take the LB from The Ohio State.

Laurinaitis would be a good pick, too. Think they would take him? Because, one thing I heard from other Pats fans, is how Belichick likes vet LBs because he trusts them more. Even though youth is a need.

I think every team in the NFL is lucky the Pats didn't get to high of a pick. We'll be unlucky if they trade it for a top RB.

He wouldn't have to play heavy minutes right away because the guys we have there can still do it. I've always thought of him as a young Bruschi that can anchor a defense and be a leader on and off the field.
When are they going to flip the coins that determine 3-5? The Raiders will either pick at 3 or 4, and not 5 since Kansas City wins the tiebreaker between them. I want the Raiders to take Dorsey, but I know he won't be available at 3. If not Dorsey, then son-of-howie. If both of those guys are gone, then MacFaddeden? Lamont Jordan isn't likely coming back next year, and Fargas's running style is going to get him killed eventually.

I just looked over the first rounds of the drafts that he has been here for and he hasn't had much of an opportunity with the picks he had to select a linebacker. The best that was in range was Demeco Ryans, who went ten or so picks after the Patriots selected Maroney. If Laurinaitis is there, and he should be, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Patriots pick him. On the other hand, Bellichick seems content to keep on bringing in linebackers who are available on the cheap and would rather trade a high pick than pay through the nose for unproven talent. The most likely outcome for this pick is a deal for a late first and early second or a late first and a future first. The later is how the Patriots got this pick in the first place. Vikings and Cowboys are possible targets.
