I'm wondering if anyone here is familiar with Open Source Intelligence, and its true worth to governments and such. I write this in response to an interesting development. In my 'other life' I wrote a study dealing with a certain potential avenue for terrorism for a website dealing with such topics. Upon checking to see where it had been subsequently cross-posted, I found that it had been picked up by an OSINT group. While the very nature of OSINT means that there's a high content volume, it was still interesting to see my own rather basic and introductory study included at all. Does anyone have any feelings about the worth of OSINT as such? It may itself serve as the topic for another essay.
