Whoever came up with the idea in the first place. It doesn't seem like the playes liked it, so why force them to wear it? Weird...
During the game they said Kobe was the first to agree to wearing the short shorts. Maybe they can auction them off for a charity and raise money for a good cause and get rid of them permanently at the same time.

Apparently the guys didn't realize just how short they were. They showed a comparison of the shorts compared to the regular ones. I think it measured 6 or 8 inches difference in length? LOL One thing I did notice, the short shorts make the players appear a lot taller.
