<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>CORAL GABLES — University of Miami quarterback Kirby Freeman has requested a release from his scholarship and will transfer, a source close to the player said Thursday night.

Freeman has returned to his family's home in Brownwood, Texas, and is expected to enroll at another school in January. Freeman has not responded to messages left on his cellphone this week.

Freeman's departure leaves the Hurricanes with no quarterbacks on the roster with previous playing experience. The only scholarship quarterback on the team is freshman Robert Marve, who was unable to play last season because of injuries to his left hand - he throws with his right - that he sustained in a car accident.</div>

I dont understand why he is going to transfer. He has about a 95% chance to be a starter next year on a team who should be much more solid next year. Most players leave due to a lack of playing time, so it must have something to do with the coach.

One QB I wish would transfer is Joe Cox of Georgia, he is very talented and never going 2 start with Stafford on the roster.
