0% chance of us switching software and going with vBulletin. We had the option of choosing vBulletin or IPB Boards when moving the site from the old custom software we were on to this one. We chose IPB because of it is a lot easier to customize and modify the source code. All of the administrators on this site have had previous history running vBulletin forums so we are very knowledgeable in the capabilities of both software. If you really want the specifics you can contact Denny Crane since the customizations are up his alley way. I think its important to realize that the success of a community is not based on the forum software whether it be IPB, vB, phpbb, etc. While we appreciate your knowledge of different software we do know how to run a successful community. Members of the site staff have extensive experience running top of the line communities (bigger then ProSportsDaily and InsideHoops) and that is what SportsTwo will become. I can't think of any individuals that will use a site/not use a site based on the forum software. They are going to use a site based off the content it provides and the users that part of the site. We are making progress daily to make SportsTwo the best it can be. Take the NBA Rotisserie Game for example. That was a game we designed for our members and it has been very popular in the past few days. We are going to do games like that with other sports as well; not just basketball. I believe Denny Crane is going to be working on a NHL version next. We are listening to our members, working to make SportsTwo the best sports site out there.

Aren't some programmers working on a Web 2.0 forum for the future? I was under the impression that IPB was an intermediate stage, albeit one that could last for a long time.
IPBs are a lot better. More capabilities and more freeedom the VBullShit. I'm pretty sure most sites merged with S2 were Vbulletin but most members have seen that the original S2 and IPB versions are a lot better.
