Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson last night accused the clubs supporters of failing to get behind his team and likened the atmosphere at Old Trafford to that of a funeral. Ferguson said "The atmosphere inside the ground wasn't very good. The crowd was dead. It was so quiet. We needed a good atmosphere so we could respond to that, but we didn't get it."
"Old Toilet" supporters are mainly glory hunters, most of them probably dont even know about the history of their club, their players, etc. I reckall Roy Keane once blasted his own manc supporters by saying that most of the Manure fans didnt know anything about football....very true.
Arsenal have a worse support than Man Utd. You wern't singing a lot last year at home, you singing a bit more this year as you are top, you only sing when you are winning. I admit our home crowd is very poor, most of them are not great man utd supporters. We are capable of good atmospheres, but I think too many people expect us to win against the likes of Birmingham so feel know need in chanting.

The worst atmosphere is Stamford Bridge. Chelsea must be the only club in Europe that can't get a good atmosphere over a champions league semi Final.
