He's too injury prone for my liking. I'd hate to give up all those guys only to have him play in a handful of games.
tmac just need to get his act together hes still a great player, the rockets is a great team they just need to find themselves.
For how much T Mac is paid, we could have gotten Kobe. We would have to give up a whole lot for T Mac: not worth it.
That makes me pretty sad to contemplate it. As talented as TMac is, and he seems like a nice guy to boot, you don't want another guy on the downside of his career on this team, and definitely not a guy on the downside with a chronic injury condition.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (vcTmac24 @ Jan 3 2008, 11:37 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Give Gordon and a 1st round pick and you got a deal</div> No. Bulls would be making this trade to put themselves in a win now mode, and getting rid of Gordon would be a step in the wrong direction. I like this trade from the standpoint that McGrady can work one on one, maybe draw a double, and get Gordon a lot of open shots (and vice versa). Deng would get some open shots too. The trade to make it CBA wise, would likely be Hinrich, Nocioni, Thabo (who Rockets love), Joe Smith, and Curry for T-Mac, Head, and Snyder. It'd leave us with: PG-Chris Duhon/Luther Head SG-Tracy McGrady/Ben Gordon SF-Luol Deng/Kirk Snyder PF-Ben Wallace/Tyrus Thomas C- Aaron Gray/Joakim Noah The trade really makes sense, as trading Nocioni and Smith opens up ample time for the young guys. I would still be weary of this lineup though. Gordon/McGrady/Deng is a great big three, but having three youngings in the frontcourt is scary. If we picked up a veteran big like PJ Brown or Chris Webber after this trade, I would feel better about this team. Having Smith needed to be included to allow this trade to happen with the main components given makes this trade more likely in my mind, as you know Paxson wants his sexy young guys to play. Houston would have a completely different look. PG-Kirk Hinrich SG-Shane Battier SF-Andres Nocioni PF-Joe Smith C- Yao Ming Not necessarily a bad team. Three pretty good (career wise) three point shooters on that team for Yao to kick it out to. It just doesn't seem like anything in Houston is going to work with McGrady, so its time to move on.
I actually disagree with your last statement BG7. If anything, TMac is the reason they win. Remember when Yao went down last year? He carried that team and they were actually better with just him as opposed to both of them. I wouldn't say they can't work things out with him. I think it's a matter of he needs to find a way to stay healthy. When he's on the court, they're a completely different team then when he's not.
Two Chicago Radio Stations (AM1000 and FM 103.5) reported yesterday: Ben Wallace, Tyrus Thomas, a draft pick for Tracy McGrady. If this ends up being the trade, I think its a great one. PG-Kirk Hinrich/Ben Gordon SG-Tracy McGrady/Ben Gordon SF-Luol Deng/Andres Nocioni PF-Joe Smith/Andres Nocioni C- Aaron Gray/Joakim NOah That would have to be our 8 man rotation. We NEED to bring in another big if we make that trade.

Is there anyone left that actually believes Paxson has the stones to pull off a trade for a big name that could actually help the Bulls?

He is always talking about how hard it is to come up with feasible trades when working with the salary cap, but all sorts of fans are able to easily find tons of feasible trades. Maybe he just gets confused?
