Well Stoudamire's agent recently came out again and said Stoud is still looking for a trade or buyout. Memphis looks to be doing exactly what they should - run Conley and bring Lowry in as the 6th man. Damon is not worth trading for, but if he were to reach a buyout agreement with the Grizzlies, would you want him in Boston? I personally am getting sick of watching Turnover Allen and now James Posey handle the ball for the second unit. That takes Posey's slashing/cutting effectiveness away from him, and Tony Allen stops my heart every time he tries to take someone off the dribble. We'll be fine in the regular season, but come playoff time, a backup point guard that can handle ball pressure is a necessity.

I would prefer a bigger guard, no doubt, but Stoudamire may be our best option if he is bought out. He wouldn't help us defensively, but he'd give us a veteran point guard to back up Rajon. He can handle ball pressure, he has good court vision, and he gives us something Rondo doesn't - the 3 ball. I would welcome him.

But again, this hole needs to be addressed before this team enters the postseason. I'll be damned if I have to complain about Tony Allen's turnovers throughout a playoff series. It doesn't have to be Stoudamire, and once again I'd rather have a bigger backup guard, but it's better than nothing.

    What are your thoughts?

not my first choice, but I think he'd be a great fit on this team. As you said he can handle ball pressure well, and hit the outside shot. We basically need a guy who will make minimal mistakes at that spot. That could work.

At this point, I'd take Vin Baker back to play point if he could get the ball past the half-court line.
