I was just watching ESPN n they said that the Nets have won their last 5 games by an average of 3.0 ppg. Yeah those are exciting wins but we keep pulling wins out of our asses! I love the fact that we keep finding a way to win but we can't relie on our bench to score half the points and Armstrong to come out like MJ firing. I would milk this run we have going until it's over n make a trade.

I don't care if we win all our games by a single point. I think a win is a win. Blowing a team out makes you feel better about the ability of the team, but even that is only a reflection of how probable it is for a team to win an arbitrary game.

A win is a win IMO but I see what your saying. Things always even out, the Nets are a mediocre team and will end the season with a mediocre record. Book it.

Is there a style points category in the NBA standings that I don't know about?

It's nice to blow a team out and win by a lot...but it all boils down to being a win in the end. I can't care how they go about doing it, as long as they get it done, I'm happy with it.

A win is a win...that pretty much sums up how I feel about it.

especially if you're down 15 in the 4th to a divison's best team and come back and win it. [IMG]

I'd rather win by an average of 3 points than an average of 10+. Keeps the team more focused and diminishes the possibility of overconfidence creeping in. Besides, this team needs every win it can get right now, so as long as we come out with a W at the end of the day, everything is fine.

A win is a win, if we started out 18-8, then sure, we can pick on the margin, but at this point, this group, needs confidence, Wins help more than losses. wins help our standing, at this point that's most important given the slow start.

not impressed really, they could have easily lost all of these games. they get there asses down early and all of a sudden wake up and start playing which means they clearly lack motivation until they look at the scorebaord and find themselves down 10 plus. the Nets have been getting EXTREMELY lucky but it won't continue, they'll probably sneak in as a 7th seed and get bounced by Detroit, easily

There's something to be said for running a team out of the gym, like the '02, '03 teams did. But this isn't one of those teams, they struggle and plug away. They play hard for the most part, though. Still, It would be nice to see a blowout one of these days.

If you've noticed we've become great in those situations. That not only helps us now considering they count as a win, but also come playoff time in the clutch.

I would rather watch close games than blowouts as long as we win more often than not.

In previous years, we would go up 5 or 10, and then collapse in the 4th quarter and lose. I felt like we always lost close games.

Now, we win nearly all of our close games, and that is impressive. I really don't care how we win, as long as we win. And lately, we're winning quite a bit.

a win is a win. I understand what Jizzy is saying. Against teams like Boston and the Pistons that will not fly but the Nets are not on their level so I don't expect them to play on the same level as those teams.

So I will glady take a close win

At least it shows this team is resillient. The blowouts will come. The new lineup is still coming together, so it is harder to gel towards the beginning of games. They will get into the swing of things eventually. Fans should be proud that instead of losing at the beginning of the year, the team is actually continually fighting to get ahead, and making halftime adjustments to stop their opponents.
