<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Philadelphia Flyers' forward Steve Downie was fined but not suspended for sucker-punching Toronto's Jason Blake on Saturday. NHL disciplinarian Colin Campbell spoke with the Philadephia Flyers forward on Monday. ''We had a conversation with Mr. Campbell and that's it. The rest will be between the league, the Flyers and Steve,'' Flyers' head coach Paul Holmgren told the Philadelphia Inquirer. ''It was a good talk. He's walking a fine line there, which is basically what he was told. My conversation with Steve was a little harsher than Colin Campbell's.'' Playing in just his fourth NHL game since serving a 20-game suspension for a pre-season hit on Ottawa's Dean McAmmond, Downie punched Blake in the face while the Leafs' winger was being held by an official. The punch left a large welt under Blake's left eye but there was no structural damage. Blake was kept off the ice as a precaution on Sunday and received treatment for the injury. However, Downie felt too much was made of the incident. "It's Toronto, they blew it up a bit," Downie told the Inquirer</div>
"It's Toronto, they blew it up a bit" What the hell is that supposed to mean. The Flyers have had players suspended for doing numerous stupid things. Of course this will be looked at closely. I liked Downie on Team Canada (junior) but I don't want to see him turn in to a player who is a danger to others on the ice.
I don't condone what he did, but the media is Toronto can be a little nutty, its more a shot at the media the actually incident that happened.
