Joe Gibbs is one of the truly great ones, coach and man. He may not have lead the Redskins to another Super Bowl, but they are in better shape than he found them. I hate to see him leave, but his little grandson needs him more. I wish him the best.

It was time for Gibbs to go. I don't think he ever really got used to the way the NFL is now. I'll stop short of saying the game has passed him by, but, just short.

Being married to a Redskins fan, and being surrounded by Redskins, I can tell you that 6 or 8 weeks ago they were all crying for Gibbs to go. After the Buffalo game, the players were saying that the hardest part was overcoming the coaching ! They were all ready to remove the prefix "genius" from in front of Gibbs' name and run him out of town.

Then Sean Taylor got killed and Gibbs became a saint and a genius again.

I'll stick with what I said back in August...Gibbs is more interested in his race cars than this football team.

There is some sort of succession plan already in place. I'm almost certain (Def Co-ord) Gregg Williams will be the next HC. There is a small outside chance that its (OC) Al Saunders.

I wonder if Martz is kicking himself for signing w/ the 9ers as he used to be a coach w/ the skins or maybe Cam Cameron will return to WDC??
