When does LBJ's contract expire? right after the 2010/2011 season?

Say the Cavs dont progress or win a ring by that time, Lebron who will be 28 or 29 by that time could opt out or choose not to resign. The Lakers by then would have signed KB24 to a new and smaller contact, say 6 - 7 M a year since he is already 35 by that time (they should NEVER EVER let him leave the Lakers even if he is old). Bynum will also have an existing contract worth 10 - 12 M. KB24 could try and recruit LeBron to the Lakers.

    Imagine a lineup of:

    Critt/Farmar
Young SG or maybe even still Kobe
    Lebron
    Whoever
    Bynum

    Bench:
Kobe could be the 6th man of the year coming off the bench and playing only when needed. He could win an award MJ never won LOL!!!
and Walton will still be here.

Though Kobe will not need to be the main man in this team, im pretty sure that he will still be able to put up a line of 24 4 4 since he is ALREADY thinking of the future and taking care of his body.

Can i say, Kobe wins 2 more rings with this team? [IMG]

    Thoughts?

LeBron's contract is actually up in a couple years. He didn't sign the max deal, he only did a 3 year extension so he could get more money faster. And by then, Bynum is going to have an enormous deal and LeBron will be wanting the biggest deal in the history of basketball, so it's going to be basically impossible to have BOTH him and Bynum on the team, since both, more than likely, will be on max deals. They'd have to gut the roster or go WAY over the luxury threshold for that to work.

    LeBron is 23. He'll turn 24 on 12/30/08.

It would be a major coup if the Lakers pulled this off. If it happens great, if not I'm not going to be disappointed.

Why? Who knows what might happen around that time... LBJ might not have a ring yet and would want a chance like any other player... Lakers may have the cap space... KB24 could retire when he wins another ring or could play for less money for another run or whatever... Bynum would request this... You never know... i say 10% as of now LOL
