I just noticed Sakurai in your 155 listing, but he's no longer cutting to that weight and is facing Nick Diaz at 170 in the next Dream. he needs to be replaced

He is a good wrestler but his submission defense and his guard work are highly suspect.

Rankings updated. Rich Franklin removed from middleweight rankings. Martin Kampmann moves into sixth among middleweights on account of his wins over Thales Leites and Jorge Rivera. Tatsuya "Crusher" Kawajiri enters the lightweight fray following Gilbert Melendez's loss to Josh Thompson. Josh Barnett rejoins the heavyweight ranks now that he is facing real competition again. Affliction added as a federation for Arlovski, Emelianenko, and Barnett. Lyoto Machida and BJ Penn are both close to joining the pound-for-pound rankings.
man you're going to have a lot of changes to make after the next 5 weeks Is Rich's move permanent? Had herd his camp is saying it's not.
Also, I'd have Gegard Mousasi, Robbie Lawler, Nate Marquart and definitely Cote ahead of him. Cote's beat better competition save for Kampmann's win over Leites.. who may or may not be as good as advertised after the beating he took vs Marquart
Fedor moves back into first at heavyweight following his dismantling of Tim Sylvia on Saturday, but still trails Anderson Silva in the P4P rankings. Urijah Faber moves into the top six P4P list with Quinton Jackson dropping off. Forrest Griffin moves up to first at light heavyweight, having defeated Shogun and Rampage in his last two fights.

Alvarez gets in by beating Crusher, and Josh Thompson rounds out the top six after beating Melendez. I don't see Hansen in the top six.

nice. gotta ask, If.. I mean WHEN GSP beats Fitch, does that drop Fitch? I find that the toughest call in rankings. When you fight the #1 guy and lose.. well you're kind of supposed to.. should you drop if the #3/#4 guys are have not fought? I hate then when two top ten fighters fight and one loses and some guy who beat a much lower ranked fighter wins and vaults over the loser.
If it`s a fight with the #1 guy and it's a close fight, then I wouldn't move the #2 guy. But if it's a domination then it's understandable.
I think Lava's right, it would depend on how Fitch lost. Some people think Fitch is inflated, others see him as the clear second best in the division. If he does better than Koscheck, he's probably still #2. If not, maybe Koscheck moves into his place.
Fitch will stay in the second spot for now after surviving an onslaught few could resist. Koscheck got through three rounds with GSP unscathed, so it would suggest he's better than Fitch--but GSP was coming off his loss to Serra and fought conservatively in a non-title fight. St. Pierre becomes the only fighter in our lists to have beaten three of the top six ranked opponents in his weight class, as well as BJ Penn, the number one lightweight and number five P4P fighter. Fedor and Spider both have wins over the #2 in their division as well.
I'm thinking Kenny may deserve the #6 spot at LW, but I guess you could hold off to see how long he lasts vs BJ, cause he ain't beating him

Werdum and Arlovski, it depends if they can run away from Lesnar long enough and land some punches before he takes them down and keeps them down. and I don't know enough about the other LWs outside of the UFC to comment on whether they are better than Florian or Huerta.
Re: SportsTwo's MMA Hot Six To be honest I'd say Lesnar even though he doesn't have many fights, he did give Heath Herring a lot of problems. Barnett wasn't all that impressive against a what, 34 year old Pedro Rizzo? (whose most recent win against a top 10 HW was probably against Arlovski in 2002? and lost to 37 year old Jeff Monson) I'd say Heath Herring is a harder opponent than Pedro Rizzo at this point. I'd say: 6. Lesnar 7. Barnett 8. Frank Mir 9. Kimbo 10. Gonzaga 11. Kongo 12. Crocop 13. Carwin To be honest though it's hard to rate someone like Kimbo until he fights someone who has fought some notable names.
Re: SportsTwo's MMA Hot Six ^ I think you'll be hard pressed to make a case for Kimbo being a top-20 heavyweight, but be my guest. I agree that Lesnar could be top ten now. He is such a handful for anyone. He's the new version of Mark Coleman/Kevin Randleman but bigger, stronger, and arguably faster, with massive clubbing fists and a big head that might be hard to rattle. Despite beating Lesnar I don't think Mir is close to being a top ten heavyweight, either. His record boasts a technical submission over Tim Sylvia and then a whole lot of nothing.
